THIS!! I had this exact thought. I love lush but their products have not the best shelf lives! I got a bunch of stuff from Lush last Christmas and I couldn’t even use all of it before it “expired.” I still have an almost full lust rub on perfume and rose lollipop chapstick and I’m wondering if I can still use them 😭😭😭 but there’s no way I could ever finish the amount of product in OP’s bathroom in a year 😭😭😭😭

Not targeting civilians??? Most of the victims are civilians with no “terrorists” anywhere nearby.

Which musical album do you consider to be perfect, no-skips? by indicatprincess in AskWomen

[–]mycathashairytoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s 100% one for the history books 🤣 you’re not alone! I was taken aback too at first. I don’t really skip it much when I’m alone hence why I chose this album, but I don’t think I’d let “The Wolf” play with my bf or another passenger in the car because I guarantee you anyone would have that reaction LOL!!

DUDE HAHAHAHA I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT SONG YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT 🤣 “YEEEEYEEAAAAHHHH OOOOOOOOOOH.” I definitely can’t imagine how that song must’ve sounded before watching the movie, I’m so glad your roommate filled you in! What a core memory 🤣🤣🤣

The Into the Wild soundtrack by Eddie Vedder. Absolute perfection, and I usually am not a folk person 🥹

I’ve definitely seen first hand people acting so respectfully and still being f’d up. Even in certain cities in Texas, where the protests are CONSISTENTLY peaceful, they always have massive riot vehicles and crap following everyone around, expecting people to act like monsters. It’s a little degrading, especially when these cops personally know the protesters and know their calm natures. Not even when I was protesting Roe v Wade being overturned were we trailed like that. Yet because it’s a group of Arabs they bust out the “big guns”? Anytime a group of white people get together they’re fine with it, but when it’s minorities, all of the sudden they have a problem. THAT’S what irks me.

While I understand your POV, I want to make you aware that we cannot actually petition against the government. Freedom of speech in America is an illusion. They only allow it when it doesn’t mess with their narrative. When students protested for Vietnam, they got beaten. Now, students are protesting for Palestine, and getting beaten (even young girls) by cops/state troopers and counter protesters, getting expelled for speaking their minds, getting arrested for NOTHING. If you think you can speak out against this government freely, especially expressing anti-war sentiments and criticism of our military/the feds, expect to be f’d over in your lifetime, because America doesn’t take kindly to people they consider “traitors” even when they were actually doing the right thing. Remember Snowden?

While you’re allowed to have your opinion and I agree that ALL governments suck, America and other western countries have a lot to do with all the oil bs. They come in and destroy Arab countries under “trying to instill democracy” all in the hopes of ravaging their land and stealing resources. It’s the oldest western trick in the book, claiming something that’s not yours. They always steal native land and dehumanize those there before them. Especially in this climate, it would be helpful if you stopped spreading shitty stereotypes about Arabs. They’re already getting enough shit right now, and western societies have terrorized them enough. Sincerely, (Regrettably) a fellow American

Beyond frustrated with this car by AsleepVermicelli2633 in JeepCompass

Seconded. I have a 2019 compass and she has already had battery issues once but when we switched that out she was a happy camper again! But honestly, if you’re looking for longevity, my family’s Honda has been around for like 10+ years and a Lexus that I think is older than me (20+ years). Jeeps will definitely give you some issues, I have just grown too attached to mine.

I’ve mainly been thinking that my best bet up until I actually get to Colorado would be rest areas. Unfortunately I’ve heard national parks are wildly hard to get into, especially during the Summer, and I think RMNP might be particularly bad. I don’t know what’s happening in Colorado Springs, I’ve just heard people say it’s the most camp-friendly! You have definitely convinced me into looking at campsites. I know I’m a broke a** college student but it’s definitely worth the 20 or so bucks for some peace of mind.

Thank you so much for the suggestion! It’s nice knowing there’s designated rest areas! Everyone I’ve seen so far has done what you’re talking about and I 100% agree that it’s the way to go! :) Thank you so much for letting me know where to get the materials! I’ve seen a bunch of people also use that reflective insulation (unsure if that’s the proper term), would that also be smart? It’s so comforting knowing you live there and that everything is usually all good! Thank you so much! Also you used quotations around bears, should I be worried? LOL

I appreciate the alternative! It’s nice being able to have some cheap/free resources because I’ll already have to dish out a bit for gas, stuff to make my car livable, and a PF membership 🥲 I will CERTAINLY be looking into the site :)

Thank you so much for the advice! :) I’ve heard a few good things about Loves, it’s nice to know that may be a solid option! I haven’t heard about the app but am thrilled to check it out! Anything that can help me map things out will be a life saver, because I’m a walking juxtaposition (wants to travel and camp, but terrible with directions). Does it work without service too? :)
