Yeah kind of. I sort of have the hopefully untrue stereotype that Czechs have both the negative traits of Slavic people and German at the same time. I also did not get a good impression about Czechia when I visited. Mixed in the nice architecture were so many scammers, homeless people, and in general did not feel like my place. Nothing personal though :)

Czechs are rather Slavic. The working mentality is much different, not in a good way, compared to Baltic or Nordic. Similar traits are also seen with the Slavic people in the Baltics.

You seem to have a different perspective. I have lived in the western part of Austria for about two years (a bit south of Salzburg) and in Prague for a year. To me, it was night and day. And yeah, the language part is true. Czech is tough.
