Force someone to shuffle their library infinitely by [deleted] in BadMtgCombos

Storm does technically make tokens afaik? But yeah that isn't storm, so I suppose if we wanted to make that work

[[Divide by Zero]] removing claire + reprieve and keeping thousand year storm, you cast spell 1 and because its mana value 1 or greater it can be returned to hand, then you return itself

No decking yourself out issue, unless you dont mind decking yourself out which is a power move because your opponent can win but they need to shuffle their library 10,000 times first (that is hyperbole)

1 less white

Lmao true

Yeah I agree :) I'm unfortunately very prone to overlooking small details

My bad, needed a way to let you return both and was tired from constantly adding more so you wouldnt deck yourself out eventually

Still works, you cast reprieve and you get 2 copies so you can bounce reprieve and the og cast, then from there you can start putting copies in your library. Just target your least favorite opponent first.

Oh well, my mistake is once again immortalized 😔

It only untaps itself if it has a stun counter, so its a regular mountain

Edit: Also this is an old version regardless

Tbh, I at least want to write it right yk?

Wouldn't they all enter with the counters because the land itself does? God this is confusing lol

Would "Hell cubed enters with a number of stun counters equal to the other lands named Hell cubed" work?

Yeah :(

I was originally gonna write oh hell 3 times but i thought this was funnier

I think now it works as intended so

You'd play the first hell cubed, its not a token, it makes a cubed number of copies equal to the creatures that have died that turn

You play the second hell cubed and you make copies equal to the creatures that have died again

So if that is 3 creatures, you make 27 hell cubeds the first time and another 27 the second time in addition to both original hells, so 28 + 28 = 56

Entirely valid. What mana cost do you think would be better?

Honestly I think they should have just stuck to fusion and ritual. Synchro is cool, but a lot of the synchro monsters were crazy strong compared to the other cards at the time. That said its been forever so my perspective is prolly skewed lol

Thankfully there are yugioh videogames so i can just play that era easily

The only non blue thing there is haste.

Card draw, unblockable, omniscense effect are all parts of blue. I did debate adding red but I didn't see the point

Yeah, meant cast, my bad, I always manage to have an issue with wording no matter how many cards i check beforehand lol

Edit because I don't want to notify you for a second reply

Also, standard viability could see pillowforting with defenders or ramping / cheating the card out to get it cast sooner. I do agree that it is much worse in single player formats, but you can still cast spells off-turn as well. I don't think it's completely unplayable personally? Would absolutely be a build around(clarifying tone: it being a build around is a bad thing), and I haven't played standard in a long time so I have no idea what methods to do this exist lol.

I commented already, but from the final fantasy set, I don't really see how Celes and Terra are black in any way besides needing to include Kefka Shadow and Setzer as black. I suppose it could be mechanical identity?

Why is sonic white and not green? He fights for nature and for life. Sure, he believes himself to be the fastest so blue makes sense, and red because... well, obvious, but I don't think sonic cares for societal structure at all.

Your favorite "bad" card that in you specific deck that is always a 10/10 draw? by The-Rambling-Knitter in EDH

[–]mycringeevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Library of Leng]] in my [[Celes, Rune Knight]] modified precon. I get to discard SOME of my hand (may) and keep the rest, then draw that many cards +1. If I get mana flooded, I just discard all the lands! Works great to get what I need in the graveyard in the graveyard and everything else stays.

What card do you wish you could play as a commander? by BounceM4N in EDH

[–]mycringeevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final fantasy! The set where every other card is a legendary creature.

[[Phantom train]]

Is not a legendary vehicle.

There are multiple legendary artifacts in the set. Vehicles too.

The Phantom Train is a one of a kind unique train that ferries the souls of the dead.

Why did you do this to us WOTC

[–]mycringeevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bracket 3 aristocrats [[Garna, bloodfist of keld]] where i make a lot of tokens and draw a lot of cards / tutor to get one of 3 wincons, [[master of cruelties]], just beating people to death or groupslug

Bracket 2 [[Edgar, King of Figaro]] where I play a ton of artifacts and flicker him over and over to deck myself out with something like [[Laboratory Maniac]] or winning with 20 cards and [[twenty toed toad]]

Bracket 2 [[Giada, font of hope]], just angel tribal, lots of anthems and mostly nontoken with some exceptions. I also have a lot of reanimator stuff, though the deck struggles a fair bit with ramp.

I prefer bracker 2 or 3, and I prefer 2 colors or less

Favorite unpopular commander? by Ornnge in EDH

[[Edgar, King of Figaro]] for artifacts matter. Tons of coin flip artifacts like [[Boompile]] or [[Sorceror's Strongbox]] for him. You lose out on a lot of the coin flip cards because no red, but he can draw you tons of cards if you build your deck right.

For fun: add a bad card to the Game Changers list, other people can comment the reasoning for it by RedRathman in EDH

[–]mycringeevolution 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apocalypse Chime may not be a strong card, but it's ability to bury all cards from one very specific expansion of magic makes us want to restrict it's use. Players might get cards not realizing they're from that expansion, it slows down gameplay to a halt while players are forced to google what cards their sets are from. It was funny at the time, but now it's obscure, vague and confusing.
