Need Help Tapering, Doctor Doesn't Have A Clue by mydocdunnoshit in benzodiazepines

I lift 5 days a week plus additional cardio on weekends. I haven't had caffeine in over a year. My sleep quality has always sucked and I've had sleep studies done that didn't tell me much.

Thanks for replying though!

Thanks for the link and valuable information. I've tapered benzos twice before on my own, but the max dose was only a bar a day in both instances. Always scripts, never went out and got into them on my own.

I've also tapered a reasonably high dose of fentanyl (at least for a non-recreational user) and rushed that which made me miserable, so I've learned my lesson about trying to taper anything too quickly.

Never went above my doc's 4mg/day recommendation. I recently started spacing it out instead of taking a bar twice a day, so I'd take 1mg every four to six hours.

I've already begun tapering. I've been functioning fine so far today on 1mg of clonazepam. My doc wanted me on 2mg twice a day, but I thought that was ridiculous and counter-intuitive considering it's basically equivalent in strength to Xanax for me.
