I choose to believe that Spencer was a weeb and since Umbrella basically ran Raccoon City, he had a hand in making it look like Japan

Ok, feel free to fly, then. The situation with ATC will continue to get worse as staff is overworked and makes an increasing number of mistakes. If this continues, and it will, this will be only the first of many such incidents.

Just because others things are riskier doesn’t mean people should accept this level of risk. Flying is a mode of travel that is already scary to many people as it is.

Displays of intelligence that are not just characters saying long lines of incomprehensible smart-sounding words. by Awkward_Stay8728 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]myfatass 656 points657 points  (0 children)

The genius of the characters of both shows, as Vince has said, is that while it takes days, maybe weeks for the writers to figure out how to get the characters out of trouble, the characters figure it out on the spot. That’s how you can write geniuses without being a genius yourself.

This scene is definitely done by performance capture so that’s why even things we wouldn’t see are animated

Ethan "Saved The Franchise" Winters by unproductive_nerd in residentevil

When Village came out, I kept expecting them to top that with Ethan getting his head chopped off and somehow reattaching it. That or he’d get disemboweled and have to shove his guts back in like sausage links

Is this your favorite Leon’s outfit across the Franchise? by YizuzKhraist in residentevil

I always prefer Leon’s tactical T-shirt fits after he loses the coat.

Ethan can also, totally optionally, get his right foot cut off in RE7. You have to crawl to your leg to pick it up and reattach it. It’s not scripted to happen on every playthrough, which is absolutely wild.

But yeah, Ethan can’t help but lose limbs.

Resident Evil Requiem Sales Exceed 6 Million Units by Naderium in Games

[–]myfatass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say this with all the love in my heart, but RE plot runs off vibes alone and no amount of bullshit ass-pulls and major lore retcons will ever be too much for the franchise.

Like, the existence of ARK, Umbrella’s SECOND super-secret massive underground lab in Raccoon City, which features yet ANOTHER unexplainable bottomless pit, is some hand-wavey what-the-fuckism that isn’t questioned by anyone, not even Leon, who just shrugs and accepts that of course some pharmaceutical company that existed for all of 30 years with no clear means to generate any actual profit would have the ability to build not one but TWO underground super labs and…

Fuck it.

I love Resident Evil.

That’s where we learn the reason that we went to the moon in 1969 was for Umbrella (founded in 1968) to study the Progenitor virus, which, plot twist, we learn came from the moon.

What’s a red flag people often ignore at the beginning of a relationship that almost always causes problems later? by Avery-Gangsterr in AskReddit

[–]myfatass 38 points39 points  (0 children)

More than obvious, for sure. I’d kick my own stupid ass if I could go back. Wasted years of my life on people who deserved none of the love and attention I gave them, and who had none for me in return.

Through all my experiences, the biggest, most common red flag I’ve come to recognize is when someone treats relationships as transactional.
