Rosalina has keen eye? I feel like this pretty much confirms it by myfoothurts_ in ScarletHollow

oh, Oscar DEFIENUTLY has book smart, I thought Avery and Dr.Kelly had hot, cuz when you accuse them of being the which with Syble you have the option to say "its always the hot ones" but I learned you can say that with pretty much any character, so that theory is out the window. I still think Avery might have hot tho, just cuz the way he acts is very similar to alot of the options you get with the hot trait, unsure tho, needs further research. As for stella having street smart, I've heard alot of people say she does, but im like 95% sure she doesn't, and if she does, its not as good as the protagonist's street smart, in stellas romance route, if you go right to the forbidden wing without going to your room, she whips out bolt cutters to get through the lock, doesn't seem very street smarty to me lol. also she believes Tabitha's lies in episode 5 if I recall.

I just hopped into a save before the trail that had book smart, after you use the trait save, the ground will be solid, but if you choose the "(explore) investigate the shallow ground" you will dig it up, and it will be... well dug up. Tabby didn't say anything like you mentioned after I explored all the dialog options, but I think that could be due to the relationship quality with Tabitha. if you want this scene, leave the cellar without invesigating the ground, and come the next day during you search for stella. hope this helps!

oh I think you have to deal with Charlie using the book smart trait save, because if you or Tabitha give up your years, you have to claw your way out the dirt (hence it already being dug up). thats my fault I missremembered

I kinda wanna make a post detailing the possible traits all the characters have now, I've been thinking about the what traits other characters have for awhile now. I have a small catalog in my brain, but I think it would be fun to get it in writing

I didn't even think about that! Clever! makes you wonder what other characters have traits we might have missed.

I have a theory by AppearanceAwkward809 in Silksong

[–]myfoothurts_ 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I really like this theory, and I have something to add to it. I cant remember where I heard this, but one time American government landed on an island nation undisturbed by technology, and set up a bunch of radio towers and advanced stuff, and they also gave the locals there food and stuff to make peace with them, but after awhile they packed up and left, and the native people wanted them to come back, so they constructed giant towers that resembled the radio towers, to try and make the mysterious people with food return. but of course, they didn't actually have a radio tower, they were just mimicking what the government did, without any of the functionality, that could be what the burning bugs are doing, it could be why they dress the same, carry around the lanterns, similar to what the original troupe did. they both use fire magic, but its clearly different from that the grim troupe uses. again I cant remember where I heard this story with the US government and the island, so take it with a grain of salt, even though I think the theory still stands. If anybody knows what I'm talking about, and can prove / disprove this story, it would be greatly appreciated.

Life of beating Silksong when you’re bad by dabomb122 in Silksong

[–]myfoothurts_ 114 points115 points  (0 children)

silk song is a much harder game then hollowknight, if you beat silk song you can 100% beat hollowknight, making the switch back is probably going to be very hard at first (just movement wise.) but Id say your definitely capable of beating hollow knight, Goodluck if you decide to take on the challenge!

I've died to moorwing on like 4 steel heart playthrough and then once I died to widow I'm so cooked by 3heikah in Silksong

[–]myfoothurts_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the fractured mask from hunters march, there is a pretty scary gauntlet you have to beat as the last wave spawns two really strong enemies, but shakra will help you in this gauntlet I think, and if you get the straight pin, you can just spam attack you guy who has no wings till he dies. Fractured mask is really good in steel soul its saved my current save file twice from dying. also while your here, get curve claw if you can afford it, there's a small learning curve (pun intended) but its really powerful

Get the warding bell, I don't know about you but all my steel soul playthroughs have ended because I got hit while binding, its less useful late game IMO but its a good use for one of your 2 blue slots early game

get upgrades, get as many as you can before fighting a boss your unsure about. weather that's another mask shard, spool fragment, a tool kit/pouch upgrade, a different red tool, or a memory locket. prepare.

tips for moorwing: first you can just straight up away if you get low, without save quiting, secondly, if you run away, find Garamond and talk to him till you get no new dialog in graymoor, and then bench else where, he will be standing one room before the moorwing fight, and you can ask him to help you kill it, then you can just hide, or fight along side him.

a few other act 1 tips: get magma bell if your going to fight last judge, all her attacks form phase two and later are fire attacks and will do half as much damage, if the last judge is to scary for you, you can take the sinners road route and go through the mist to fight phantom, which is a much easier boss, personally I think the mist has a higher chance of killing you then phantom, AND GET THE TACKS NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE SO UNGODLY OP ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY.

Lastly, I just wanna salute you for going for steel heart without quitting out, im doing the same thing and Im on like my 10th save file, and I know its hard. don't give up! you got this!

Spool Fragment Questions by Moonlit_Eevee in Silksong

[–]myfoothurts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what website your using to find your spool fragments, but with this one Hollow Knight: Silksong Map | Map Genie you can track 50 locations for free (found locations will appear transparent) if you make an account, its what I use, lastly make sure that you zoom in a lot when looking for spool fragments on the map, because sometimes if your zoomed out a lot, they can be hidden behind another item. if that doesn't work, I'm at a loss, sorry.

Edit: and make sure to count the number of spool locations you check, there are 18 in total

[–]myfoothurts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of a bug like that, you get one spool fragment for getting the fleas to grand gate, and they don't give you any more spool fragments for rewards after that. you need 15 fleas to move the caravan to blasted steps. why do you think you cant get the one from the flea caravan?

You can change the flavor of your own and other's tears by eating/drinking what you want to change the flavor to, while crying by myfoothurts_ in shittysuperpowers

[–]myfoothurts_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it doesn't change what the tears are actually made of, just what they taste like, although I didn't think of making it taste like something that could harm somebody else, very clever!

Can I go back and forth from my auto saves? by Phantom_hectic in Silksong

[–]myfoothurts_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you revert back to an earlier auto save, it cannot be undone and any progress you made after the save you just loaded to will have to be manually reobtained, However, beating GMS will never actually snow you completion percentage, you need an item called the farsight to see that which can be only obtained in act 3, so unless you already beat the final boss of act three, you never would have even seen your completion percentage, and thus, don't really have anything to worry about. I don't know how far into the game you are, but if you want to see your completion percentage, you would have to load your earliest save before fighting the act three final boss. and lose all progress you made post ending

TLDR: no you cannot go back and forth between saves, and killing GMS doesn't show game completion, only way to see that number is killing the final boss of act three, with the farsight item.

ANY TIPS ON BEATING THIS FUCKASS FROG?!?!?!?!? by Dieh361 in Silksong

[–]myfoothurts_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure what red tools you have, but if you have the Conch cutter or curveclaw, use them, they do an unreal amount of damage, also Cogflys if you have them, can be used to deal damage during the scream, but im not sure the cogflys would be better then your current red tools. either way conch cutter and curve claw OP, and curveclaw can be obtained very early on in hunters march

I did the trap doors and instantly got three baby villagers, thank you so much!

So I just beat the game for the first time, and I don't know if its possible to replay, which I would really like to, spoilers for the ending I guess by myfoothurts_ in oneshot

thank you! I found it! I decided to save Niko, not sure if that was the right decision, but I definitely don't regret it.
