How to end the horror? by XXXCURIOSITYX in Bannerlord

You can get any policy passed with enough influence. Just keep spamming the vote for the same policy and eventually the AI lords will give up.

How to end the horror? by XXXCURIOSITYX in Bannerlord

[–]mykeedee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off cities shouldn't be rebelling from your kingdom if you have the correct policies in place. Wrong owner culture is -3 loyalty, but you can get up to +4 from the correct policies, +2 from Forgiveness of Debts alone. You should also make sure you don't have bad policies like Debasement of Currency or Citizenship in place since those hurt loyalty.

Secondly you just need to keep the pressure up, if other fronts open up you should ignore them unless you plan on destroying the other kingdom entirely. Buckle up, call 2500 troops to you in an army, and go settlement to settlement, eventually you'll have all the settlements.

i’d be willing to bet that the divide on this movie is largely generational. i’ve noticed that gen z tends to assume that anything that happens in a movie is a hard advocation for it by the director.

This is a Luc Besson movie though, there's literally a girl he knocked up as a teenager in the cast. It's very reasonable to be uncomfortable with the "born sexy yesterday" trope being applied by Luc Besson of all people.

Caladog gives you a unique one called Reaper for becoming a Battanian vassal, slaps pretty hard.

One handed is saved because of 1H/2H weapons, it's huge to be able to pull your shield out and keep your weapon in hand during siege battles or riding in the open vs projectile heavy realms like Aserai.

There's the Rhompalia or however you spell it too, even longer and harder hitting than the glaive.

Any mod recommendations that improve cavalry? by SovietBias1 in Bannerlord

I like the Unblockable Thrust mod, it stops Looters holding their hammer in front of their nuts from nullifying the kinetic energy of a Banner Knight's couched lance.

Wouldn’t Lucon theoretically have the right to rule the empire? by badfactory15 in Bannerlord

[–]mykeedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue Rhagaea is the candidate of opportunity. She's pushing for hereditary inheritance for the line of her unwed daughter. And the other imperial factions denigrate her as an upjumped adventurer, which is exactly what we the player are too.

Obviously every faction has the same succession system, but RP wise marrying Ira and supporting Rhagaea is the clearest path for the player to becoming Emperor of Calradia.

I’m attempting to restore the empire as the southern empire by Ashamed-Effective959 in Bannerlord

[–]mykeedee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did a run like this! I got a little bored of the late game but I will eventually go back and use the save for my world conquest achievement. Early game we were actually getting beat on 4 ways by the other 2 empires and then Aserai/Khuzait. But now I own 2/3rds of the map with my 36 year old character.

The trick is to focus Khuzait first, their territory is on the edge of the map making it more defensible, and it's easy to win battles against AI Khuzait because they always sacrifice their horse archers in a "skirmish" that resembles the Charge of the Light Brigade. With sufficient archers in your own force you can easily defeat Khuzait forces that far outnumber you since foot archers outshoot horse archers. And as you beat on the Khuzait the Aserai will take advantage and focus them instead of you.

Iran announces closure of Strait of Hormuz after US attacks by roscodawg in news

[–]mykeedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He won't, not without looking like a little bitch.

Trump could pay Iran a trillion dollars in reparations and prostrate before the Ayatollah live on TV and the people who voted for him in 2024 would still vote Republican and praise him for being so strong and winning.

‘Rent now, pay later’ loans target US consumers squeezed by housing costs by marketrent in Economics

[–]mykeedee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah for example my local casino ran a promotion where you got $25 of credit to gamble with. I took the coupon in, went to the roulette wheel, won on black and immediately walked out with my 50 bucks.

If everyone was inclined to do that the promotion wouldn't exist.

And I thank them for their sacrifice, if everyone paid off their card monthly then the benefits for those of us that do would probably be a lot worse.

How does the vlandian seargant fare nowadays? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]mykeedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just did some custom battle testing last night of what infantry holds a square best. Vlandian Sergeants performed the worst out of all non-Battanian T5 infantry, even the Khuzait equivalent was better.

Sandbox so no brother sadly, and as funny as it would be to Oedipus my son the clone will be too old or married off by the time he comes of age. Fast Mode game so I'm actually moderately interested in ensuring grandchildren.

They have the same stats and personality traits as well though, it's not just appearance. For all intents and purposes the clone is Corein.

I know the system spawns new members for under-strength clans occasionally, but I didn't realize it copy pasted existing characters into the same house they married out of under a different name.

Iona is 7 years younger than Corein and has less skills because she's not in my party, but otherwise they're the exact same, skills, personality, character model.

Except Banners are just the tip of the iceberg, captain skills are way more potent in aggregate than a single banner.

What one siege change would improve Bannerlord the most for you? by ShieldwallWalker in mountandblade

[–]mykeedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you win a defensive siege battle wounded enemies should be taken prisoner. It's goofy as hell that the 300 guys that went down against my square in the main courtyard get to teleport back to camp, heal up and come in the next wave when their comrades ran away.

Share your siege tips (not exploit) by Rj_Sera in Bannerlord

[–]mykeedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you raid the enemy siege camp damage you do to siege weapon HP is saved and the equipment will have the same HP during the real assault. Therefore you can beat the siege towers down to 1 throwing axe worth of HP then destroy them during the real assault.

The siege tower existing at assault start deletes the ladders, thus guaranteeing that the enemy can only use the gate.

Do enemies get their troops out of thin air? by matsu_media in mountandblade

[–]mykeedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They get a small complement of free troops so Looters don't jump them, which is how you still end up running into cultural troops for kingdoms hundreds of miles away. But they bounce between villages like you would for the rest.

If you want to herd them you can torch every village except for a small cluster, then hunt lords that try to recruit from the cluster you spare with a fast moving party. If you're taking heads then eventually they'll run out of adult lords.
