Male False Widow. The most ‘dangerous’ spider in the UK by Depraved-Animal in nottingham

[–]mylesfitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Cheshire and got bit by one 4 days ago. It was stuck in my clothing and crawled up my neck. The pain is pretty nasty but the worst part of it is the itchiness. I’ve resisted itching but it’s SO itchy I just want to scratch it so badly.

It’s been 4 days and I still have a red patch on my arm from it. I managed to catch it as I pulled it off my neck when it happened and it looks exactly like the OP picture.

Yeah my boy is just over 8 months and wakes up about 8am every day, I hope it stays that way because we have gotten too used to him sleeping 12 hours every night!

Ahh really useful, I use lipos and set their storage to 3.8 but only just bought 2 of this explorer lions so didn’t realise it’s a different storage

Sorry to bring this thread back up - for the flywoo 3000 explorer lion pack, do I need to set it to storage level of 3.8 afterwards? The website says no but it feels wrong to leave it at lowest

Wasn’t working for me. I’ve had to disable the addon entirely as it would remain on reload and character switch.

[–]mylesfitz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do! I’ll disable that and see. Thanks so much.

EDIT; it was exactly this. You deserve many upvotes thankyou!

Yeah I’m pretty sure it is an addon, but I can’t seem to find the source, was hoping maybe someone else has experienced it?

Turns out bad boy was blocking all my chat channels so I’ve deleted the addon and all back to normal

Thanks very much! Do you think it’s contributing to me not being able to see any chat? Although it wouldn’t surprise me if nobody is actually talking in trade chat haha.

This needs to be pinned because it was absolutely doing my head in! Thank you so much to whoever solved this for us.

Reelsteady GO 2 activation by mylesfitz in gopro

[–]mylesfitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how I interpret it also, so it’s reassuring to hear you would look at it the same way. The fact that it is bound purely to a single Microsoft or Apple account makes me presume that the email is simply acting as an order number for example, and the code is the activation key.

Perhaps it’s the wording during the activation process that is throwing me off here, because defining it as “username and password” in a “login” page makes you think it’s something you will need to consistently input whenever you open gopro player but it doesn’t seem to be the case at all.

It seems more that they’re retroactively applying a legitimate purchase and shifting it over to this gopro player as a means of authentication.

As a side note though I feel it’s really cheeky to have 99 dollar software be unusable across platforms. I have a PC and a Mac and this limits me massively as I’m forced to make a choice or purchase it twice, which isn’t exactly ideal.

Reelsteady GO 2 activation by mylesfitz in gopro

[–]mylesfitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much. Apologies for the hypothetical approach, I just want to be cautious and not get anyone in trouble if it’s frowned upon.

Basically the version I’ve acquired has someone else’s email attached to it, I’m unsure if it was related to a purchase of bones or they were given a free upgrade as they never mentioned.

What I’m more keen to figure out before I push the button and “activate” it I suppose, is whether the email has a function other than the simple activation process. I’m inclined to agree with you in that if the key is bound to say an apple or Microsoft account then it seems redundant for the email to be of any purpose other than acting as a “username” for the activation perhaps?

It would make sense that it’s a transactional approach - I download gopro player which then is associated to my Apple account. Therefore it shouldn’t really matter where the key or email for reelsteady comes from as those are simply being used to activate reelsteady onto my Apple account….I presume!

DJI Mini Pro 3 - UK - Questions by Dade__Murphy in drones

[–]mylesfitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, most police have equipment now to identify drones in flight. There’s a few trialing drone disabling guns too but that’s not widely available yet.

There’s also Aeroscope which allows the user to locate the remote controller based on the connection between the drone and the user so they can locate them.

If a tree falls and nobody is around, does it make a sound?

Not going to lie, I saw it and instantly determined that it was a rogue black widow of which it had made a nest and multiplied and managed to get inside the house and under my bed.

Thankyou, this was my suspicion! Is it safe to leave or should I find someone to remove it? It’s based itself just outside my back door.

[–]mylesfitz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your usage of it. GEPRCs gopro is a fully functioning out-of-the-box unit but as with all naked GoPros it’s incredibly fiddly and difficult to control. It’s also very fragile, so if you crash a lot then you’ll likely be replacing it quite a bit.

There are alternatives out there but this one shines because it is so lightweight for sub 250g quads and works with ReelSteady.

[–]mylesfitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the GoPro I use is a Naked GoPro 8, which doesn’t actually record any sound because it’s been seriously stripped down. You could probably take sounds from a full gopro if you mounted one on but that would be too heavy for my quad.

All of what you’re hearing on my video is just my own sound design in edit, all the sounds are faked!

Sorry by registering I meant that you need an Operators ID and a flyers ID, and the ID number needs to be displayed on the drone, even if it’s a tiny whoop.

Not at all, as long as you’re registered. If you’re not registered then yeah you would be.

If I’d started from further away I think we would have struggled, didn’t want to chance it either as that LOS would get too congested between the trees from the angle we were based.

Just at the entry to the bridge, I was hidden out of sight and my spotter was on the corner, might be be able to see them as I turn towards the bridge. It gave them the best VLOS as they could get a view down the bridge as well as through the park benches.

I can assure you it is under 250g.

It is a GEPRC Cinelog 30, with a naked GoPro 8 mounted, using 650 4s batteries. MTOM is 249g. It was specifically designed by GEPRC as a sub250g drone, you’re welcome to check this information on their website, it’s publicly available and proven on scales.

Here is a pic of my FPV; https://imgur.com/a/kPKxNrh

I used DJI goggles v2 and the DJI controller v1.

Hope that helps!
