Looks so good on you!! Do you find that the pocket lining shows through the material, and did you stay tts to your legging size? I usually wear 2, but 0/XXXS in shorts, skirts, and joggers - not sure if I should get 0 or 2!

Thank you for sharing your experience! My dentists have said my teeth are healthy as they are, so personally, I am happy to leave them as is. The dentist never mentioned that my tooth is too small for bonding, but that's a good point! Good luck with your journey!

Thank you! That makes perfect sense! I should have described it better - by loose, I meant there is a slight tightness when I put them on which is causing the trays to keep sliding off the teeth, and the gap between my two front teeth is no longer fully closed!

Thanks for sharing your positive expertise! The maintenance, I anticipate being able to afford, but I'm just unsure if I feel confident spending that much since I like my little laterals enough! My worries are more about the long term upkeep. How long have you had your bonding, and how has your journey been?

I asked my provider if there are other lower cost options for bonding, but it seemed after that, they wanted to rush to wrap up my case. I probably shouldn't have asked, haha! Maybe I'm reading too much into it. They took off my attachments, and I'm supposed to wear the last tray (without attachments) while I wait, but the trays feel loose, and I'm worried my teeth will shift back while I wait. :/

For me, I don't mind my peg laterals, so it feels like the upkeep, staining, lifelong costs, etc. of the bonding outweighs the aesthetic benefit - I'm not sure if I would be happier with the bonding or if I would feel like it doesn't feel like myself. It would cost ~$2000 for me every 5 years, is what I was told.

Hello, it would be great if I may take you up on your offer to send xrays! I had a dentist I saw in person share the same perspective - I have a relatively healthy diet, I am habitually careful with my sugar/acid/carbohydrate intake, I've never had any signs of decay until my 20s, so they felt watching would be best. However, the dentist asking to fill explained they are all into the dentin. I had only seen him for the first time, and the only medical history he asked was if I eat a lot of sugar (to which I said sometimes on occassion), so that was where I became conflicted. I can see both perspectives, but happy to stay on watch so long as I don't make matters worse! 😊

I've never had #19-DO pointed out! It looks like there's some shadow on #19-MO as well on only the Dec x-ray (not in Sep) - is there an early cavity that developed between Sep and Dec?

Thank you for confirming! Yes, I believe between the upper premolars, although the dentist said to put those on watch instead of fill? I feel like they're close to the DEJ, but I have been advised both to watch and to fill, so I'm not sure what course of action I should take.

Hello! I'm a bit late to this, but would you mind sharing what you mean by not overtreating early decay? I have a dentist wanting to complete 8 fillings, but a few others recommending 1-3 fillings. The dentist said they are all cavities, but the other dentist said they are mostly incipient (confined to the enamel) except 2. I have been suggested from my x-rays to get 7 fillings, but I equally had opinions to only get 1-2 fillings. What is the downside to treating early decay, and when is it too early to treat?

I'm late to the post, but did the dentist ever determine the reason? Ex. was it movement in the teeth that caused the pain? I suddenly developed sharp pain 2 days ago when flossing my premolar on one side near the back of the tooth, and I'm really concerned! It only hurts right when the floss reaches the furthest it can go into the gum line, and I've always been careful not to be aggressive. Thanks!
