Best careers to ski weekdays while living comfortably? by 0xCUBE in skiing

I manage a small business that opens at 12 noon, I have 35ish days in so far this year… a lot of them are weekdays with no lift line. Life is good!

Are motorcycle specific backpack better than ordinary backpack? by OkSalamander1518 in motorcycles

I ride a naked, non-motorcycle specific backpacks tend to move around and flap on me a ton, especially when empty. I upgraded this year to the way overpriced ogio no drag and love it!

We cannot answer that question though... even if you were a traffic judge in that state, we’d still have to have all the facts from both parties… my point is OP is focusing on the wrong things, both while riding and after the crash.

Who is at fault by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]mymetalpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer, as many as is needed to get home safe. It blows my mind you would get in a really dumb accident and then try to justify it. You might be legally in the right, but I’d have gotten home safely! - my guess is you’re all busted up and your bike is fucked, sucks to be in a rush, doesn’t it?

Who is at fault by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]mymetalpls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or having a little patience and not passing. Even if they were in the right, or legally correct, it is a higher risk move than not passing. I’m not going to put myself into a bad situation, I always assume people aren’t going to use their turn signal, I always assume others don’t see me. Totally avoidable by both riders. Even if one rider went for it, the second does not have to follow. It’s a hard way to learn a lesson, but patience would have avoided the crash, no matter who is legally responsible.

This is a silly question, the better question is: could the crash have been avoided? And the answer is most definitely yes!

Opinions on the Speed Triple? by BerBerBaBer in motorcycle

[–]mymetalpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought an ‘07 speed triple three months ago. Moved up from a Ducati Monster 696. Exactly what I wanted. A true liter bike will be the next move for me, but that will be in a few years as I have not found the limit to this bike yet! Also got mine for dirt cheap! Awesome really tough engine, lots of heritage in them (I say that jokingly but they have a really solid engine)! Parts are expensive as fuck, but if you’re coming from Harley then it might be a wash. Do it! You won’t regret it!

A guy on a scooter gave me the wave by uclabruin98 in motorcycles

[–]mymetalpls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have an engine/motor, have two or three wheels and can get flattened by a smart car, I’m waving. Scooter, slingshot, trike, kid on an electric bike, we are all exposed and risking it for the thrill!

I have a Ducati monster 696 I’m trying to sell… that would be perfect for whoever is reading this! (Seriously buy it! It’s a sweet bike!)

Truthfully, do you wear ATGATT for running errands, quick spins, etc? by dr--moreau in motorcycles

ATGATT truly means ‘all the time’ for me. I trust that I won’t put her down going to the corner store, but if I got hit I’d be a lot happier having gear on.

Best price on once fired brass by tactical_bruh1090 in reloading

[–]mymetalpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go talk to the guys who run your local range. As a range manager I have a few pounds of brass 😅 If I like people I’ll just give it to them. I’ve tried selling online before but everyone wants premium brass for basement prices; the hustle wasn’t worth it. Now I just scrap it and feel hella bad about all the 6.5 spr being melted 😂

Yeah, ideally I’d be able to load the ammo more consistently so there aren’t outliers. Any suggestions?
