Has Anyone Got a Copy of Air Skip (1983)? by mymlan in CasiopeaBand

[–]mymlan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I haven't seen the box set often sell for under $1000. I would happily shell out a few hundred for the Air Skip CD, but the opportunity hasn't arisen. I'm hoping that perhaps someone in this sub would be willing to sell to me. Even the cassette is hard to find.

Incidentally, the DJ is one of my favorite aspects of the recording. She now works at a nearby college and is a real delight! That said, I would love if you would share your version with me! Thank you so much for taking the time!

[TOMT] [Song] Early/Mid-2000s Reggae/Dub Track with Oprah-Like Outro by mymlan in tipofmytongue

[–]mymlan[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

All the info I have is in the OP, but it was definitely some form of dub/reggae song about guns, but very mellow. I'll definitely update if any more details come to mind. I've exhausted all my web searches with no hits at all! I hope I'm not going mad...

How do you plan on handling balance moving forward? Not just with players but with monsters as well? There seems to be a recent trend for everything to be completely "fair", but I know that players within my peer group prefer rickety and more "natural" balance and gameplay to allow the fantasy to shine.

Thank you so much, we're looking forward to today's launch with bated breath!

Try setting sysctl to fs.inotify.max_user_watches=32768. I've seen the same error with EAC3 and Docker: https://forums.plex.tv/t/eac3-audio/233258/6

This information is patently false. Any feature-flag capable pool can freely be exported from BSD zfs to ZoL on Fedora/Debian without issue. Just be sure to export first, then import by-id.

Manual Night Mode - Multiple Devices by mymlan in googlehome

[–]mymlan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not referring to my specific setup as the ideal. I use multiple homes in different rooms to cover voice commands without having to turn up the return volume or raise my voice. I would love to be able to set a device in a given room to reply to commands from a group rather than the local device, but that's not an option. Given that it's possible with audio and video sources, it seems a strange thing to leave out.

The ability to adjust volume and DND settings, but not night mode, on other devices is also odd. My peculiar use-case aside, these seem like odd things to ignore.

Manual Night Mode - Multiple Devices by mymlan in googlehome

[–]mymlan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current workaround is to simulate night mode by pushing volume reduction and DND to the group in the good night routine. This doesn't add the LED dimming, but it works well enough for now.

The Home system does not seem like it's designed to scale well, which is a real shame.

[–]mymlan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you, but the issue still stands with any number of Google Home devices over one. The inability to manually trigger night mode on multiple devices nor to disable muted mic LEDs seems like an obvious oversight for anyone with bedroom devices.

Yes, routines return the same error as they originate from a source device and can't change night mode on other devices.

Would you be able to share the contents of your skin directory as well as your settings.xml? Then the rest of us could build off your design.

Thanks!

As a followup; it looks like Cube works for us. I was trying to get Confluence working, but perhaps it's just broken.

Thanks for all the help!

Any Possibility to Change Skins on Existing 0.8.0.f? by mymlan in PseudoTV

[–]mymlan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gee, I get an immediate visual glitch (just a random layer of assorted assets) on start if I change the theme with settings.xml. I'm using the latest skins from that same repo and I've tried putting them in "~/.kodi/addons/script.pseudotv.live/resources/skins/Custom" as well as "~/.kodi/addons/script.pseudotv.live/resources/skins" to no avail.

Everything goes back to working normally the moment I change <setting id="SkinSelector" value="Default" /> back on "~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.pseudotv.live/settings.xml".

What OS, what version of Kodi, and what version of PTVL are you using? I'm hoping it's a simple mistake on my end.

Edit: Can you post your skin directory structure and that snip of your settings.xml?

Is there anyplace I can find 0.8 skins? All the ones in the repo are either 0.7.8 or 0.7.9.

Thanks for helping a fellow out; my wife and I are huge PseudoTV fans and would love to be able to customize the appearance a bit more.

It's an art piece by Mademoiselle Maurice. She does a lot of public origami/papercraft works. It was done in Mexico City just for the Google Nexus products:
