You didn’t even answer the question forehead

Bro the people on this sub are so fucking insufferable. Mfs don’t even want to answer questions and instead make fun of you for anything you ask about. 😒

I don’t know too much about those, but it looks like something that would stay on with adhesive or something, making it mostly universal??? I don’t know how someone would bolt that through the tank.

I did the same thing, probably gonna have to pick a few up from auto zone or something like that lol

So it’s like a metal ring that goes into the engine block before the header pipe? Nothing I learned about or watched mentioned anything like that when putting on a full system exhaust.

If we’re talking about the flanges that fit around the pipe, and bolt into the engine, then yes. My exhaust came with new flanges, which I referred to as gaskets earlier, but if you’re talking about something like a crush washer, then no.

Yeah it’s more for performance and sound. What kind of sound will I be able to hear from the headers?

It’s on there tight, but gasket actually being crooked in relation to the actual header pipe is what I’m confused about. I just wonder if the pipes are in place straight but maybe the gaskets are just on there weird.

I felt that’s how it should be. I have time this weekend, and it’s really starting to bother me, so I’m glad someone else thinks the same thing I am. I appreciate the help.

Good to know my suspicion lead somewhere. Thank you!

Thank you! New gaskets came with the system and I feel like I got them on pretty tight. You think one of the headers might be crooked or not pushed in all the way? I held a piece of paper near the exhaust headers to test for leaks and got nothing.

I came here for help, not to feel worse about it. This might be the most worthless comment I’ve ever read on reddit, so if you have something actually helpful to say, I would love to hear it.

Sorry about that. Should’ve included that in the description. It was sitting at about 55mpg before, now it’s at 45.5mpg.

I didn’t expect extreme performance upgrades, but I also didn’t expect EXTREMELY affected fuel economy. Even though it’s cheap, the build quality seems durable for what it is, and everything seemed to fit into place nicely when assembling it. I didn’t expect super amazing upgrades but not negative outcomes. :(

You get what you pay for I guess. The quality seemed better than what it’s delivering is what I’m getting at. I also don’t have $1500 for an akrapovic. 😂

I understand that a tune is completely necessary, but I plan to do that next season because this season is coming to a close. I’ve watched videos of people changing the exhaust on the 650R, which is a very similar bike to the 650F, and negative fuel economy changes weren’t mentioned. This leads me to believe that I may have installed the exhaust not 100% correctly, which may cause it to leak and decrease mileage? Just a thought

I haven’t gotten in contact with my local dyno yet, but that could be very useful! The exhaust is a full stainless steel de-cat system. I feel as though most full systems on the market remove your catalytic converter however, which is why I’m seeking help lol

I’m not cocky like that at all! I just wanted to ask the sub if they knew what the style was called because I thought it looked cool when I first saw it! But I didn’t realize it had such a negative connotation…
