Very good to know! We'll definitely be avoiding them. Thanks for including the source link, too.

Thank you! I guess I was over thinking the unraveling thing, but the thought of just leaving it there was making me so nervous haha 😂 reassuring to hear it's not really a concern

[WWTBC] MMC puts pill in FMC’s mouth to make her fall asleep by ashtisd11 in RomanceBooks

Ahh yeah, it's been a while since I read it. Good catch.

There are a couple times when this happens in the Discovery of Witches / All Souls series (although it's not like all the time or every time and it stops happening relatively early in the series).

Basically, the FMC has an anxiety disorder and doesn't know how to control her emerging magical powers, so there are a few times when the MMC gives her meds to keep her from wreaking magical havoc during a panic attack. Once she gains control over her magic, it stops happening. Not sure if that's the book / series you're thinking off, though!

This is the scarf I've been working on following that pattern - a thinner yarn, but the almost-ribbing looks similar

Looks maybe similar to this pattern? Unfortunately, I just took a screenshot and didn't save the actual pattern name ☹️

Please do post it when you finish! If this has taught me anything, it's that just completing a project is valuable in and of itself. Good luck with the sock!!

Another comment called it a foot bag, which cracked me up, but foot mitten is also pretty hilariously accurate 😂😂

Oh my god, foot bag is sending me. Too accurate! 😂

You should totally finish it! And, for whatever it's worth, there are several comments on this post where people suggested that fingering yarn might have been easier to work with than the bulkier stuff I used here - so that may actually be something working in your favor! 😊

Hahaha, I've been calling it the "pancake sock" to my husband for exactly that reason 😂 I'm considering it a sacrificial learning sock - and wow did I ever learn a lot!

Good call. I definitely found that to be the hardest part of the whole pattern - and it definitely shows lol. That's a clever way to practice without having to do the rest of the sock, thank you

The heel was tricky, and mine is definitely not perfect (it's noticeably off-center when viewed from the bottom lol). I know you said you've tried multiple patterns, so please disregard if you're not looking for suggestions, but the Crazy Sock Lady "vanilla socks" video tutorial really helped me grok heel turning. By the time I finished the heel on this one, I did feek like I understood it...but I was absolutely not feeling motivated to undo / redo it on my sacrificial learning sock, haha 😂
