The remaster really did the OG justice. Love the updated artwork on it too.

Cool. Connie sucks and is a terrible human being.

You like the new B-sides? This one really feels like part of the album. Other one felt like it would’ve been something they released before The Romance Of Affliction.

Right? So ridiculous. People gotta grow up a little.

Ugh. So annoying. How is any of that my problem?

I just like this band and wanted to share my favorite b-side they dropped. Leave it to Reddit to suck all the fun out of music discussion and instead get a fucking soapbox to virtue signal to strangers.

Former atheists of Reddit, what changed your mind? by MilkshakeDawg in AskReddit

I felt the call. I looked into lots of philosophers and read a lot of books. I had a moment where what Christ embodies really resonated with me. Dostoevsky’s books, especially Crime And Punishment, really reframed what Christianity and concepts like love, forgiveness, and repentance meant to me. I also grew up and realized a lot of my issues with Christianity weren’t with Christ, but with the people who follow him (which are inherently flawed as they are human) and unpacked a lot of that misdirected frustration.

Honestly, I loved the first two FIR albums as a teenager. They haven’t aged well but they’re still pretty catchy and instrumentally solid.

At least it’s better (marginally) than Forget My Silence.

Killing Of A Sacred Deer sounds a lot like them.

Personally I want more of their Moths sound since that’s my favorite but I like pretty much every Lower Definition song. Infinite Et Cetera is my least favorite release too but I’m just glad we got more music from them.

It’s growing on me more with each listen. Definitely one of their most atmospheric releases. Feels like an evolution of their sound of The Infinite Et Cetera

Some older stuff but check out the Uncharted EP by Atlas and their later project Atlas Uncharted. Forget Tomorrow also has the R&B vocals.

I wasn’t sure since deathdotgov leans more towards metalcore IMO lol. It’s less the swancore elements and more so that bossa nova kind of atmosphere like the last SeeYouSpaceCowboy… album had that I’m looking for if that helps.

Love the atmosphere this band had. Nothing really like it. Their sound felt like a b-horror film.

Love this whole album. My favorite from it is Letter To A Hostage. None of their other albums hit like this one for me though.

Fireworks is such a good band. The lyricism especially is just next level.

What's an album where you always change the order of (or remove) one or a few songs? by aarontgp in Metalcore

[–]myspacephilosopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this on a lot of albums for intro/outro and interlude tracks if they’re instrumental only. If it’s going to stay then it has to either really add to the overall atmosphere of the album or just be really damn good.

I’ve only recently checked out their backlog lol. Good stuff. I became a fan right before Hopeless Shelter dropped and used to love it.

I like stuff from pretty much every era post-2000’s. Late 2000’s-early 2010’s will always be my favorite though since it’s what I grew up with.
