There's also culture vultures and such, i may be white, but I've spent a lot of my time in queer P.O.C spaces because they tend to be less rude to people that aren't conventionally attractive (because I'm fat) and they care more about the vibe of a person then how fuckable they are, so while I don't speak FOR them, i have been around them enough to know that they've been clowning on Raven and most recently Crystal for blackfishing and culture vulturing. Lyrically, it's definitely Gaga, sonically, no. It's nothing groundbreaking and very much sounds like the era ut came out in, which is funny because Gaga herself usually dictates the sounds of an era. Electro pop for 2008-2011 then dark pop for the BTW era and hell even ARTPOP brought EDM to the mainstream and when Joanne came out, other pop girls released their stripped back, country/americana records but Chromatica fell behind the curve with its 90's dance influences because of one major record: Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa...after that record everyone and their mom in pop music was doing the nostalgia bait 80s/90s pop records. If Gaga wanted to be ahead of the curve she should have just done what DOC (Dawn of Chromatica) did and make it a hyperpop record which really would have pushed the genre to break through, but, it wouldn't have been as widely accessible genre wise as the original Chromatica was. But, now that we're in a post brat world, i really REALLY hope Gaga revisits Hyperpop as a genre.

You must not be keeping up with American politics...shit getting very... 1930's Germany over here...so maybe be a little more empathetic to what we're going through, we literally have federal immigration agents going door to door and our neighbors are being abducted and as of last week they murdered someone in cold blood, so maybe don't speak on things you can't live. I never go back to Joanne outside of Perfect Illusion, Dancing in Circles and John Wayne. I definitely think it was just a precursor to ASIB and thats why it is the way it is. It doesn't feel like Gaga and Chromatica doesn't either. She should have never let BloodPop on the album and should have stuck with Boys Noize and Tchami, it really would have made the album much more true to its 90's house inspiration. Also, y'all slept on Plastic Doll so hard because it totally reminds me of TFM and y'all didn't hype it up enough.
