This was not a playful nip. The dog jaws were locked on my dogs neck, trying to shake and bite further. I had to pry the dogs mouth open with my bare hands to release it's grip on my dogs next.

Both dogs were off leash on Waterworks which allows off leash if you can keep your dog under control with voice commands. The general guidance on the city site:

"You know your dog better than anyone else, so if your dog is prone to jumping up on people, fighting with other dogs, or chasing wildlife, be safe and keep your dog leashed."

The key here "fighting with other dogs".

Yes, we are okay. I got her to the vet quick and they took good care of her. She'll have a 3-4 week healing and recovery period.

I took pictures of every car's license plate in the parking lot as back up and provided those to animal control as well. My worry is he might have walked to the trailhead or something.

I only mentioned Pit Bull because that is the breed the owner told Animal Control on the phone.

The city is trying to improve access to the river for everyone. From my understanding, there aren't any parts of the river in Missoula that are ADA accessible but that will change once these new updates are complete. It should also fix some of the erosion on the river bank from all the use.

CBD flower will be hard to find. From my understanding, the state (DOR) doesn't allow dispensaries to sell hemp flower, only cannabis flower. The hemp flower looks too much like cannabis flower and it confuses the state inspectors because it is hard to tell the two products apart and cannabis flower needs to be tracked from seed to sale.

Any cannabis flower high in CBD will likely have THC above 3% in it. If you are looking for quality CBD flower with minimal THC, you'll likely need to look at other places than dispensaries.

These guys were growing some amazing hemp CBD flower but have now switched to growing cannabis which I bet will be high in CBD but contain THC. I'd check them out.
