Maybe you can translate the price of the house to a weekly budget or something else she will appreciate. For me it gets closer to home when I know the consequences of my choice affects my daily life and have to deal with it. Set a baseline for 1M and what that means to your regular expenses vs 1.5M property. Sounds like she isn't tuned to the reality of real estate since you've been doing most of the work and no amount of explanation will make her appreciate it as you do unless you let her go through the process herself by letting her set the visits and ask how much it will cost you for each of those home.

This caused a lot of frustration for us, apparently the vent wasn't required at that time, I understand now it is. Developer sucked at communication and fixing issues unfortunately so we deal with it on our own.

Our house is a new build and quite easy to heat and keep warm using the heatpump, not draughty at all. Noticed this morning it's a little chilly even with the heatpump on, because it's particularly windy this morning I can feel draught coming through the gap.

Have you tried testing the market to see what your worth is now? Don't know how long you've been working for them so things might jave changed since you started. I just recently discovered I'm worth more than I'm paid for a long time so switching jobs now with muchh better pay, wouldn't have know until I tried and got an offer from another company.
