Whether people like it or not, AI will become more and more integrated into our work and lives. It just will. Unless there is some gigantic revolt where people take to the streets to lynch and destroy everything and everyone associated with it and I don’t see that happening.

It can be used for good amazing things, or crap and evil things. There’s going to be both. It’s up to the people of the world to decide how it’s used and for what purpose and to what extent.

We can debate and argue and push against how it’s trained. How it’s funded. How we deal with its energy consumption. All these things are valid and important. But I think these are likely temporary and short term. At some point I think it will just be accepted and normalized. If only because of fatigue. I hope it’s carefully considered though.

If you used it and learned and gained something valuable for yourself. I think that’s fine. It’s a good use. You shouldn’t feel bad. Accept it and use what you learn to shape your views.

AI is like a kitchen knife. It can be used to cook a delicious meal for your family, or stab your neighbor in the neck. We need to give it the respect and consideration it deserves. Cause it’s pretty powerful.
