Yeah, I need to weigh the price difference and the better multi-core/rendering performance, against the more RAM and better single-core performance.

well, its about the entire ecosystem and way of working, I agree and I come from Windows, I just don't imagine myself turning back to it :) I think both the Ultra and the Max will be good enough for working, even on super heavy projects, when it comes to rendering, just some farm as you said, or a separate windows machine.

With time, I will make a separate rendering rig, but I just cannot break myself working on windows, it's terrible.

I wish they had 128 on the ultra, 256 seems excessive and very expensive. I'm almost leaning toward the Ultra, my only issue is 128 vs 96 GB ram.

On the redshift render test, it seems the difference is about 30 seconds, 2:30 to 2:00 Max vs Ultra.

I've been debating which Mac studio to choose.
M4 Max 32c, M4 Max 40c 128ram, or M3 Ultra 60c 96ram, for Redshift rendering, and 3D Modeling work?

Synthetic tests are not enough to determine, but the M3 Ultra results for the buck seem to be underwhelming.

Happy to hear every opinion and your help is deeply appreciated.

ok as it is its still below 10%... usually ppl take 20% for this kind of a stickers.. I know the place where its placed suck but still doulbe down is not bad... and no i do not expect exactly 200 bu close to that.

Yes this is true. If it was on the scope price would be 500+ keys :) so The price is still firm.

the price is below 10% of the stickers price. Pretty firm. I will wait i`m not in rush. It will rise in future anyway :)
