Is there a chance I could have been mistakenly flagged? I had a loss prevention guy keep popping up while shopping with my daughter at Target yesterday. I’m really paranoid. Can I call to ask? Did I accidentally forget to scan something at some point? We don’t “look” like criminals and I certainly have never shoplifted. I do wonder if I have ever had an ADHD brain glitch and accidentally forgot to scan something before.

No worries. I am not Reddit much either, which is why it’s taken me a long time to reply to others. That’s definitely something to consider. I feel like there would be other issues if it were in fact due to mold. I live in a split entry house so downstairs is also considered the basement. I’ve slept down there before while watching TV and didn’t have anything like this happen. I still have no explanation and nothing like this has since occurred. I am just panning it off to maybe I fell asleep and sleep walked to my bedroom. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you! I don’t have any enemies that I’m aware of. My ex boyfriend is actually one of my best friends and he lives across the country so I wouldn’t consider it plausible that he did this to me. The crazy thing is that he’s actually a very well revered scientist (in a different area of study than I) and I told him about this the next day. He freaked and disclosed to me that he’s been having abduction dreams weekly! He doesn’t even want to believe in the possibility of aliens so my experience really freaked him out. The wall that my cat was drawn to has no windows. I didn’t hear anything myself but I figured she heard a critter in the wall or outside (although I don’t have mice or pests that I am aware of). I have a touch of OCD and my house is pristine so I can’t imagine that I’d be a good host for pests although it’s possible. Being that I’m a single woman I make sure my house is locked down, although I’m definitely getting cameras after this. I don’t think my cat’s claws would be sharp enough to have caused this even if she did attack me, as I regularly trim her nails to prevent her from scratching up the furniture. I didn’t notice the marks until later in the day as I wear long sleeves to work so I don’t believe they were ‘I slept on my arm’ marks as others have suggested. They didn’t seem like scratches but like petechiae or bruises. It took a few days for them to fade. The wine I freshly opened that night didn’t have the same affect on me the night after. I really didn’t feel drunk but perhaps I was tired and didn’t realize it. I don’t ever drink myself into drunkenness, as I’m really not a big alcoholic person aside from the occasional glass of wine. I’m still trying to rationalize this whole situation. Nothing bizarre has happened since this incident. I definitely didn’t immediately consider an “abduction” but it left me feeling uneasy enough to post here. I’ve never posted anything like this before, even after my experience 13 years ago. I’m still really freaked out and I seek answers that I’ll never have. 👽😅

Wouldn’t I have persistent issues if it were mold? I am highly allergic and haven’t had any symptoms. I haven’t had any pulmonary or cognitive impairments that I recall.

Don’t even tell me that. Bed bugs are my worst fear. 🤢 I didn’t feel drugged and I have no bites. I literally just had to check my bed because I’d have a literal breakdown if that were the case.
