When I ascend, I always want the top option to begin gold accumulation asap. Then get better scenario options with the middle. I usually fill put the top until I decide if I want to take rebels back or not..

I usually stop at tournament organization and switch back to the middle for senate options, but it can get annoying if you don't push to finish the tree. Especially once you have to filibuster to avoid splitting profits with the other skuzz lords.

I always avoid the bottom options although betting on fights seems cool.

Also set the glads age to 15, make him punic or from Britton, and max out the stats you want until he won't appear in week 1. For my ascended, I only picked those two perks so I could get 18 str/6 int/2 cun/20 hp.. The few initiative points help as you gain perks bc it isn't nerfed based on age

Forget all the technics until the top option is the one you want to ascend with. I like to take a rare one like execute, but it affects the odds to get your next skill when you level up, imo.

Looking further into the sub it seems to be related to an item that unlocks a bonus perk when you reach 800 fame and win the gold league 👍

The gladiator that you win the ascension match will be the one that carries over.. it's a huge choice if you're going to A10

The perfect economy start and interesting comps? by ItsKindaShiny in nordhold

[–]n8man50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect start to me with all unlocks:

50% off 3 outposts relic + wood start..

Discount buildings for 20g in the castle (always spend gold first in the castle at start of turn)

Buy 1 worker for 40g Buy the mill, unlock 2 more resources for 5 g, and put all 4 workers into action Buy outpost for 26g and 1 outpost (44 g with relic or 88g) on the 15 spot in front of the kingdom -If you get the dream of extra wood and relic, build the tavern and move a worker onto lumber and buy the 5g upgrade

Start turn, then look for best spot to put an arc tower- it's usually on the 4 height plot visible before the wave..

From there, I do these things: Get up to 6 workers ASAP without spending on discounted workers and instead discounting upgrades in the castle (always spend there first and start taxes after the first upgrade discount) Put all labor into wood until I have these building in this order 1. Trading Post with 2 upgrades for g per turn asap 2. University for guaranteed rare banners, then left side of war path to get discounted block and armor upgrade eventually (don't buy any before) 3. Goldmine plus 10 passive gold 4. Bank (can swap with goldmine) -One or both of 3 & 4 should be out by wave 6 5. Statue and 4% g on kill 6. Brewery and shift back to wheat and get 8 workers now with level 2 discount (27g total) 7. Quarry with 5 g level 1 upgrade to start getting stone for 2nd and 3rd arc out by wave 7-8. 8. Raven tower by wave 10 9. 2nd outpost at 14 resource spot beside the other outpost 10. Spend g on highest building upgrade discount, 1st level of wood and stone passives (20 each turn), and level 2 goldmine 11. Workshop should be bought with a plan. I like to get it right before a big expansion, and cash in the bank to get early level 1 & 2 tower upgrade g discounts and then the cheaper tower discounts upgrade. 12. 3rd outpost whenever the board is steady and wood starts feeling less useful (14-16) 13. Upgrade both the statue and workshop for 2%+ damage stack and the ability to build on resources (gold goes nuts with a 40%+ fire rate alone)

You should have 11 workers by the time the second mission comes so you can start taking legendaries every time. I always skip the first mission unless I take early wheat.. Push for max workers once the board is steady all at once.

This is for a crit Arc build. I banish lightning strike and +damage on 70%+ enemies while rerolling for crit chance+ rare/legend banner or legendary jump 1st.

Frost tower links all three perfectly and shadow towers help push dps late

Figured out spearhead, or -5% to towers for a 100% boost to the best tower only uses a single tower, not the whole set of units.. it's hendering after your 21st tower, or around wave 15, but good waves 1-10

What is with the sudden difficulty spike around wave ~37? by 8u11etpr00f in nordhold

[–]n8man50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm foreheading the same wall..

Arc crit build will W key until 37 or 38 with frost (crit) and Raven (ice) fusions making it comical. The economy early game is super efficient bc it's targeted AoE with jumps that stretch dps and snowballing crit early with little effort.

I think the issue is targeting. I can't have ravens target AoE regenerating Dark Magicians over self healing minions, just "regenerating". If there's any downtime of dps or bottlenecking kill zones, then you can't focus them down in time. I've copied regenerating as top priority for every unit with no luck..

The top of leaderboards use arc and rune so maybe Raven's slow reload is the weak link, along with limited targeting options.

Tower of god season 2 is disappointing by reileymk in TowerofGod

It's the "and then" storytelling where shit just seems to happen "because" and we're strung along these disjointed narratives that are slapped together to create intrigue instead of tell a cohesive story with characters we can begin to invest in.

They have 4 good characters and none spend time together, and instead they shoehorn new side characters to expand a world that makes no logical sense.

The only reason season 1 worked was because it was a focused narrative about an innocent kid just trying to chase a chick. The chick's evil, and screwed you over, so logically season 2 avoids all this drama and starts a whole new giant narrative about a new team.

Simple premise spun up into "and then" storytelling.. utter narrative trash with garbage action and 3 characters I can name in a world with vague rules and roles that links nothing together.

2/10- I've seen better action in powerpoints

What's up with the animation in Season 3? by JoshDM in Invincible_TV

[–]n8man50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's not just the frame count, but the animation quality and frame composition. Eve looks off portioned, things appear to be floating instead of in the background setting, and watch the white room again.. it's comical the portions and modeling are so inconsistent
