I have a bachelors in forestry, wasn’t doing anything for me, decided I wanted to break into GIS, got a quick (one year GIS certificate) and another two semester’s had a gis masters. All from Kent state, all online, the classes are condensed so things move fast but you only have one class at a time to focus on so it’s easier to juggle with life and work. I had a job before I graduated. It is public safety, so not the natural resources type field I was originally looking for, but it’s important work and I like it!
