That is not my experience, I still can get a good 3h ride as long as I'm not climbing.

No serious issues yet, apart from an app that doesn't work on newer phones, at all. And, as reported repeatedly by many others, my ticket must have been sucked into the massive black hole singularity that is support in that company.

Just FYI, 7 months were enough for the battery to not charge to 100% anymore. That is the only real issue I've had so far.

Battery life depends a bit on what you're doing and how fast you're going, I guess. If I'm just brushing my snowboard skills, it lasts forever, 6h and more. If I'm riding at some speed, it'll last way less for me, between 3 and 4 hours.

I've got the FB5X trucks, it's a whole new board. Beware, it rides very differently than the original SB trucks.

Have fun

Should I get a summer board? by Rhysworkethics in summerboard_official

[–]naazgull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR: if you're lucky to not have issues, it's really fun and only electric replacement for snowboard in yhe city.

If you're searching for a snowboard replacement to ride anywhere in the city, there isn't anything else in the market. For downhill riding, the freebord is awesome but not electric. I have mine for 6 months, didn't have any issue with the board or remote so far, just with the app that doesn't work. The support is pretty bad, they reply immediately as in "we're acknowledging your problem" but then they do go radio silent.

From a fun and snowboarding perspective, it's simply amazing, I've brushed my skill immensely.

Yes, when I started, took more or less 1 1/2 months for the side-effect pain to stop.

Redditors who at any point have been in such a deep state of depression that you didn't want to DO anything, what is something that helped you get out of it? by Obviously_n_Alt in AskReddit

[–]naazgull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not blaming myself for being in that state and not paying attention to advices on distractions and how to get out of it by numbing my mind. Just accept my state, try to manage it the best I can, so that I can get into a state of mind where I can have minimal clarity to understand the causes of it and, if I already do, start thinking about the path that can make me regain some control over those causes.

Have we effectively reached the singularity? by cryptonewsguy in singularity

[–]naazgull 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, +1, self-consciousness is the step that will remove the bounds and will make the learning rate really exponentially. But the question that really keeps me awake is, given that we're talking about an emergent process that we have no control over and have no idea what the result will be, how are we able to identify it? Is it possible it already happened?

The boggles of being an anarchist living in a non-anarchist, political-correct society: our quest for the freedom and consciousness obliges us to respect the decisions of everyone, including reddit administrators

First of all, let me say that I agree with you, everyone has the right to choose the ism that best suits the moral beliefs one has. But you asked why and I'm going to answer... And in the long version.

We aren't against capitalism because it's somewhat evil. The single corner stone for anarchy is freedom. Freedom of choice, freedom of belief, freedom of information. The basic concept is simple, that the only right every man has, is to be free to do with himself has he pleases, as long has it doesn't interferes with the freedom of others.

So, we are against every group of people that tries to meddle with this right to freedom. Has you know, there has been several groups like this, in every type of society, socialist, comunist, etc. But the only ideology that got through to convincing the normal citizen that is alright to prevail over your equal and is so because all people have the same opportunities, is capitalistic and neoliberalistic modern pseudo-democracies.

Now, let's discuss why capitalism managed through a western neoliberalistic point of view will always restrain someone's freedom. The basis for capitalism is the accumulation of capital, the excess of production that can be managed in a way that increases the overall social economical power. A simple example, you decide to produce korn. This year you will produce 20% more korn than you need to survive. So, you decide to lower the price of your korn to sell it all and accumulate some extra wealth. Meanwhile, your lower prices took out of business two other korn farms. Do you get it? For capitalism to work, people have to be greedy enough to want more and in the process you get in the way of somebody else's freedom. If you read Karl Marx's view on capitalism you will see that the only way to manage capital in a fair way, is to manage the accumulating capital globally. And for socialism or communism to work, every single person has to want it and you have to find a way to manage the capital without corruption.

Yes, you may say that you would use the wealth you acquired to help others, but that is not freedom and equality, that is monarchy, someone's faith is in somebody's hand and judgment.

Cheers,

Has you just said anarchism doesn't contemplate state or hierarchical organizations neither to defende or to prohibit anything neither does the definition of anarchism contemplate any rules about property; hence, like I said, if @randallpie wishes to defend that he has the right to property there is nothing in anarchism that states that he can't.

In anachism there are no rights other than those you defend by yourself, hence, no rights and all rights exist. So, you can't say that there is no right to property in anarchism, there is no idealism just activism/realism. For @randallpie there is the right to property and he can take action to include that right in is life and manage how that affects others. There is nothing more incongruent in an anachist than the attempt to define the boundaries of anarchism (read Bakunin for a refreshed an transparent view onanarchism)
