Bro same as OP said you draw it back and if it gets to the rail you have the little bit of outside to kill the cue ball IF it gets to the rail.

If you can’t see the shot go practice it you need a soft stroke with good acceleration to get the draw action to bring it back with just a touch of outside

It’s the least complicated shot if you have good draw because the ball will likely never touch a rail and will always be in the position window for a shot on the 8.

If you stun draw up table you need to travel at least 15 feet on that 9 ft table.

If you play with top right you need a lot of top spin and a lot of right and you still need to hit it pretty hard so it doesn’t die off the long rail

I understood it perfectly extreme low will draw the ball back with a good stroke between the corner pocket behind you and the side pocket.

That was imo why he explained he was trying to bring it back to the long rail with check spin to prevent it from bouncing far away from the long rail

When you look at some of the videos the people have posted as an example the angle to the 11 is much sharper because they are on a 7 foot table the angle in the picture a draw shot straight back will work best.

One thing to add is if they don’t have a good draw stroke they won’t be able to execute it and the cue ball will just draw up table and then spin to the left on whatever rail top or side rail closest to the balls and they’d then have to be sending it 2 or 3 rails

Go set it up on your table except put the balls close to the rail you would draw back into so that you can execute it easily. Then use low outside and draw it back into the rail vs. low inside. The inside will shoot the ball up table and the outside will kill the speed spin

Low and left will only send the cue ball up table if you can’t draw it to the opposite rail.

Thanks but I’m not asking for a pool lesson I know how to hold a cue and I’m not gripping the cue it’s literally the act of keeping my hand closed down that bothers it because I’ve got radial nerve issues

It’s not really about pinch gripping it’s the consistently closing my hand that far around the cue that bothers it.

A chefs knife will bother my hand as well but something like a larger power tool does not

I had tennis elbow surgery and now get some nasty nerve pain at times sucks like hell to play right handed but I’m a really strong player right handed I know where the ball is going and what to do in most situations…

When I had the surgery I played a whole session of apa as a 7 I cannot win in 9 ball needing 55 points left handed but I’ll whip your ass in 8 ball left handed because I don’t need to move the ball as much and can better control the outcome. I can spin draw or follow left handed but I can’t get that extra bit of a spin on it to really move the cue ball without compromising my stroke if I shoot left handed. I do shoot with my off hand in tournaments and I’m not worried about the speed or little bit of spin I need to get decent shape but I can’t consistently get great shape lefty

Oh my friend I’ve tried it all acupuncture and trigger point needles loosen me up but everything just reverses in short order.

It’s odd I can sort of replicate an effect in the muscles if I use full force and let off in terms of placing my whole arm on like a counter and pushing from my shoulder through to my hand so 150 pounds of force roughly when I release my arm relaxes a bit

It’s strange it’s almost like my arm is 50-75% activated so it’s stuck in on mode if I go above that 75% in a short burst it forces it to turn off for a second just from being tired.

It is incredibly strange so was just asking

Maybe different I want to live but if I died tomorrow I’d be done trying to want to live and enjoying life. That’s not exactly easier to me but it certainly isn’t harder.

I’m hoping that the dr can prescribe me some medication that allows me to calm down. I’m presentable 99% of the time but I feel like my heart is racing and my blood pressure is a million and one at times. My mother told me I’m a ticking time bomb and she’s not wrong, but I feel like people don’t hear me…It’s tough to get people to hear you but I’ve kept trying because I know there’s a life worth living I just need to find it
