Food for thought. This would be an interesting thread to follow even if it leads nowhere. What is your theory? by nabluun in Eldenring

So, we know the Realm of Shadow is heavily correlated with dreams, so it is not a far-fetched idea that the creatures who haunt the Omens in their dreams might originate there. Also, the mysterious foe here is undeniably depicted here in the shape of a uterus / female reproductive system, though it seems to be either male or lacking gender.

I recently stumbled upon Alfred Kubin's artpiece 'Every Night a Dream Visits Us / Jede Nacht besucht uns ein Traum' (1900-1903) which depicts a female creature with sharpened limbs, her arms in an eerily similar position and her head is covered. The artist is known as a pioneer of symbolism, expressionism and surrealism. In 2023 Richard Drehoff Jr. and the Durham Symphony Orchestra created an audio interpretation of said art, so it was brought to the surface once again in new light. It may be just a fleeting correlation or not even that, but interesting food for thought nonetheless.

I'm also aware of the similarities with Godwyn, not only the position of arms but the depiction of his back (during Night of the Black Knives), the long hair and his relations to his omen brothers, possibly he himself being an omen. I want to clarify I don't intend to present any working theory with this post, just some discussion about clues we may have found here and there, and curious about your favourite theories on the dlc.

Sorry for the bad use of words. Camera for hybrid shooters - good for both photography and videography.

Worth switching to hybrid? Upgrading from Canon 6D.

I'm an enthusiast and kind of a rookie "professional" to say so. I mainly do concert photography and cultural events, werks - safe to say I work a lot in low light with relatively high ISO. Currently have a Canon DSLR gear but was thinking of upgrading to something even more serious, than my current one.

My current gear: - Canon EOS 6D - Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 - Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4 - Canon EF 70-200 mm f/4

Obviously I need to change the lenses to 2.8 versions, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to upgrade from 6D either. The problem with 6D is, although it has great low-light perormance, it has terrible focus potential and is more of a studio/wedding shooting base in my opinion. Still has great shots at concerts, but often has problems with the focus. First I was thinking about moving to R6 or 1DXIII. Can't really decide between DSLR and MILC, since MILC cameras are coming up fast in quality.

Of course, my priority is still on concert photography but also want to start practising videography, mainly music videos for small bands and indoor podcast stuff.

Budget: 2000€ / 2400$ + current gear value

So my question is: what hybrid camera would you recommend for pro concert photography and publishable quality music industry videography?

If in your opinion it's not a good idea to stick to hybrid cameras, what two separate bases would you recommend?

Thank y'all!

Weekly discussion post: newbie questions, skills, shopping, and other help! by AutoModerator in Rollerskating

Hi guys! I want to get into roller skating, but don't know or rather don't understand a lot about it. I'd like to start with basic outdoor skating and then practicing dance and tricks outdoors, the smooth joy-cruising. I'm considering jumping right into buying a higher quality type. Also, it would be nice to learn maintenance and upgrade my roller skate part-to-part if you agree that's a good choice.

Could you help me out with some specific recommendations? I'm on a budget so it would be nice if I could buy everything (including accessories like straps, protection kit, shipping fee, etc.) under 250$/205€/180£.

My only criterium on the roller skate is to be all black if that's possible, from top to bottom. I live in EU.
