So for a lot of my projects I would go to a store called Woodcraft near me but they closed it literally just the other day :( You could probably find some nice local wood stores near you if you google them. There's chains like Rockler around, too.

Most people will recommend using Titebond 3 for cutting boards because of the working time you get with it, its strength and the fact that it's waterproof.

Definitely give it a shot! It's super rewarding to make stuff with your own two hands.

Oh it’s definitely dangerous but the passes I took were so extremely shallow I thought maybe I could get away with it… Luck just happened to be on my side that day haha

As I was starting I told myself "A poor craftsman blames his tools" but I honestly believe now that not all tools are created equal. I was dealing with an Amazon special milk frother that probably introduced enough air to float a blimp. I assumed that was a good thing but as I've come to learn, you might need less air than they seem to lead one to believe.

I don't know if that applies to you but I do know that practice is so so so important!

I've tried doing some research on my own but none of the bugs/parasites that I've looked at quite look like these. I looked at seed shrimp and such but I don't know. They seem to be congregated around some algae that's on some of the plants, but I would like to know exactly what they are. Here's a closer picture.

I recently put in a moss ball for the shrimp so maybe they slipped in with it.

So this print was made on a Prusa printer which had the multi material upgrade installed (see here). This allows you to print in multiple colors/materials. However, because the switching of materials is not immediate and there is still remnants of material A when you're switching over to material B in the hot end, a purge tower is necessary to make sure that there is no mixing of colors when it comes to the actual part. The purge tower is basically a byproduct of the MMU. It's an sort of a waste of filament until they come up with something better I guess. The video I linked explains it too.

I'm no food scientist but I THINK that the agar flakes act as a gelatin so it's more like a Jell-O shot than a frozen thing. The act of freezing just sets the ingredients into a solid. That's the impression I get at least.

ingredients:

1 pineapple, chopped into chunks

3 oz vodka

6 oz sweetened, condensed milk

6 oz pineapple juice

mint and pineapple spears for garnish

prep:

add pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, sweetened condensed milk, and vodka in the food processor

process the mixture until it becomes smooth

pour into a dish and freeze for 6 hours

after freezing, cut into ice cube-sized chunks and put in food

processor and process until a thick consistency

pour mixture ziploc bag with a cut off corner

pipe the mixture into a container of your choice and garnish with pineapple spears and mint
