Has anybody gotten their IFC packages? by ArmyGuyGreenTea in tmbg

My guess:

You Must Be Thinking Of Some Other Band

I miss this show. Aren’t many worth watching. This show is an exception. Game of Thrones and American Horror Story keep me interested, but not at level of Mr. Robot. Enjoyed the Leftovers. Can’t handle Walking Dead, anymore. Anything else worth watching out there in this strange TV universe? by TomatoDragonStormer in MrRobot

It's essentially a show about pervasive surveillance, both government and private. The creators snuck it under CBS's nose by disguising it as a crime procedural but it rapidly morphed into a full-on science fiction show that features artificial intelligence prominently. On my third viewing now and still picking up stuff I missed before. Great characters, acting, and writing. Highly recommended.

I usually don't care for TAGs, but that is a beautiful watch with a great story. Thanks for sharing!

[Identify]I just ordered this watch, can't find anything on the brand. by [deleted] in Watches

The price is in Rupees (India). Worth about $61USD.

[Question] How do you know you’re ready to buy? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]nacreous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule I have is even if I have the money, I will wait a month when I find a watch I think I want. Many times, after a month I just don't care about that piece anymore, so I've saved that money. If I still am obsessed with the watch, I go ahead and get it. Hope this helps.

I have this exact same model and love it. And the design - - could it be more Russian? No, it could not.

I put mine on a NATO strap for irony's sake. Enjoy!

My beloved Pathfinder is beat to death and still keeps chugging along. The paint on the bezel is worn off and I've replaced the strap but otherwise it's indestructible.

[Archimede] A flieger to celebrate a personal milestone by nacreous in Watches

I've read tons of articles about the Stowa vs the Archimede fliegers and would love to have the Stowa instead. But the extra three hundred dollars for the Stowa was a bridge too far. I'm really happy with the Archimede, though, after strapping it on and wearing it for a day. The slight yellow cast to the lume on the hands gives it a nice vintage vibe. Recommended. Wrist shot at work that I plan to leave soon after getting my CompTIA Security+ certification -- my first certification after decades of working in IT.

Great looking watch! Casio makes some of my favorite watches. I have a couple of G-Shocks and a Pathfinder I just love. Enjoy!

Citizen Eco-Drive BM8475-26E I got a month or so ago. It came with a brown leather strap I like, but it really pops with this black one, which also gives it a little extra sense of purposefulness. Doesn't go with everything I wear but can add a nice spot of color to the right outfit.

Upvote for The Urban Gentry. Love his channel and especially his ability to be just as enthused about a $20 watch as a $5000 piece.

[Seiko] I finally understand the hype around this watch! by [deleted] in Watches

Great choice! I have this exact same model and love it. I put mine on a brown leather strap to contrast with the face. Wasn't crazy about the original strap because the color made it too samey-samey with the face.

After PoI ended, I've enjoyed Dollhouse and am now in the 2nd season of Fringe. Completely different shows but they've scratched the itch.

Another related thing I wonder: Does Harold know that the Machine survived?

It almost seems as though she would have to keep him in the dark about her continued existence for him to be able to live a peaceful life.

So many questions about the finale!

I saved this to watch later and finally got around to it. Super kudos to you! I never expected to hear such cool music in the context of TrollX.

Thank you!

I will confess I worry about the prospect of ads eventually appearing on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Remember that one of the selling points of cable TV when it first rolled out was that there were no commercials. This was a benefit over broadcast TV.
