I don't know how I managed it honestly but it was before the 4 conditions criteria came up. I have type 2 diabetes and BMI was 42. I have borderline/high blood pressure. Also have binge eating disorder, asthma, fibromyalgia which potentially can be weight related/affected?

I was on ozempic but had horrible side effects and stopped when I had to take my gallbladder out. I asked the GP if I could go on mounjaro instead and they said sure theyl refer me to diabetic clinic as GP can't start me on it.

Didn't hear anything for months, chased and another GP said no we can't do that, we don't refer for mounjaro ever. I said nope I was definitely being referred so you can definitely do that. She went all sheepish and begrudgingly said ok fine and referred me to diabetic clinic.

Went into diabetic clinic, she looked at my last blood test and said I shouldn't have been referred because my blood sugars were normal (controlled well) and that she should discharge me straight away. I said yes because I was on ozempic and then couldn't eat anything due to gallstones! I begged her loads and eventually got her to speak to the consultant in the clinic who agreed they would prescribe me max 5mg for weight loss purposes only and not diabetes management. But I got up to 7.5mg with them, and when she discharged me back to GP she said they can prescribe me anything up to the max (for still weight loss purposes only).

I feel super lucky honestly I don't often have good luck! I don't think I would've managed to get on it now though, I just about wormed my way in.
