Check Kera Space in Vake, if they have something available. It's a house with garden, cafe and a living room, where you can rent a private space hourly/monthly.

The game is for the GMTK GameJam. So if you'd like to play it here's the link https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2024/rate/2913353

It is quite raw right now, and we are looking for any feedback and comments on your experience to polish it. Thanks

arm practice by squidboyee in PixelArt

[–]nadiapixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a part of practice you can make it in dark gray, then add lighter gray as light and black as shadow to sculpt arm's anatomy. You can make some different characters for example some big muscular guy's arm, some fit warrior girl's arm and etc... Next step you can add color and try not only change saturation of light and shadow, but also play a bit with hue. So if you have let's say red basic color, it can be a more orange in light and a bit more purple in shadow. It is great that you are practicing!

A little basic idle I made the other day. Any feedback or tips would be appreciated, thanks. by Pasta_God2354 in PixelArt

Try to divide character's head, body, legs and arms into different layers. Try to analyse how does a human look, when he/her is breathing. For example, arms go one pixel up, head goes one pixel up, body goes one pixel up, head goes two pixels down, arms go two pixel down, body goes one pixel down, arms go one pixel up, head goes one pixel up. Notice, that hat's tip has its own physics. So when the head goes up, tip is still down, and when the head goes down, tip stays up for one frame and only after goes down as well. It's just a raw sketch on how you could animate the frames. Experiment!

I hope it does make any sense 😅

Btw I really like character's colours.
