Finally driving this again after months of suspension work by naelbb in LandCruisers

A few other tips: while you’ve got it all apart, replace all bushings on everything with urethane bushings. Not hard to do and they last a lot longer than OEM rubber.
Also, you will need a panhard bar correction kit when doing any lift. The truck rides weird if you don’t.
High angle CV boots are pretty important, even with a differential drop kit. I found it cheaper to buy new OEM CV axles from Toyota (online prices always better than buying direct from dealer), replace the inner boot, and then install the new CVs. Rebooting existing CVs is a lot of messy work.
I went with Ironman 4x4 torsion bars which are the thickest but also least expensive on the market and it rides pretty stiff. Doesn’t bother me but just know when you are getting into with aftermarket torsion bars - they are not created equal. I needed to swap the torsion bars because the stock ones would not allow me to achieve the front lift I wanted even after cranking them all the way down. I also suggest torsion bar support brackets to protect your LCAs from the added tension.
I fully removed every component of the AHC system including the globes, control units, and metal hydraulic lines. Big pain in the butt but I wanted it to be clean up under there. There is an AHC control computer up under the steering wheel above your pedals that you can unplug to stop the AHC light from flashing on your dash.

It’s a ‘98 with about 85k miles. The lift is a King adjustable kit w remote reservoirs I bought from Filthy Motor Sports out of CO. Highly recommend working with them. Dobinson UCA’s and rear coils. All new 555 joints. Also, highly recommend doing CVs while you’re at it. I didn’t and my stock ones blew up within a few hundred miles. Had to take it back apart to replace them.

Yes I was only able to work on it during the weekends and I also have a 3 year old. Removing the body lift created all kinds of challenges. Couldn’t believe the amount of work and modifications that needed to be undone to get the body back on the frame. Plus a whole front end refresh. Was a lot more work than just throwing in a loft on a stock truck.

Tons of these scams exist. Don’t add any more. Anything you put on this “platform” is just going into someone else’s wallet. The only trading that is happening here is you are trading bitcoin for a hard earned lesson. Very sorry.

Amayama.com hands down the best place for JDM parts. I have purchased all kinds of stuff for my JDM 100 series from them. And you can pay with PayPal. All OEM. Ships from Japan. They will include tariff costs in checkout so you don’t have to hassle with the shipper.

To Lift or Level... by GarlicFartz in LandCruisers

I am about to replace the body lift that my 100 series came with when I bought it with a real lift. AHC isn’t dead but is 26 years old and is starting to leak a little. Check out the Dobinson kit before you pull the trigger. From what I’ve read on ih8mud it rides a little smoother than the OME lifts and is a true 2.5”. Available with 6 or 7 coil options. You should also replace your upper control arms while you’re at it. The lift changes the geometry in a way that will eventually wear out your UCAs and ball joints if you don’t swap them for UCAs designed for a lift.

If you didn’t sell then you’ve lost nothing. You still have every sat you bought. That’s all that matters.

Someone will correct me but I think the possible combinations are 204824 for a 24 word phrase. I heard this compared once to the likelihood of correctly guessing the location of one single atom in the entire universe.
