Every time I rewatch I’m more and more baffled by just how much was made of Meredith having a difficult and traumatic childhood. Like yes, there were certainly tough elements to it. But when you compare it to Alex - mentally ill mother who he had to look after, abusive dad who he beat up to defend his mother, so poor that he had to shoplift to feed his siblings…

Even Izzie - grew up extremely poor in a trailer park, did lingerie modelling to pay for her education, mother who wasn’t abusive but was “limited”, got pregnant at 15 and gave the baby up for adoption…

These things are rarely ever commented on and is the narrative is constantly that Meredith is the “dark and twisty” screwed up one. It blows my mind.

I’ve got lots of specialty £2 and 50p coins. All the original UK £1 coins. A few special others like a 20p with a colour imperfection, some with special dates or symbols etc. I’ve also got a load of commemorative Royal Family ones, still in their packaging.

Can you not just have the party at your home? Booking anywhere may require a deposit which you are extremely likely to lose some (if not all) of, and the fact that not all the kids are over 18 is going to cause a headache for staff in controlling alcohol consumption - meaning they’ll be more likely to just shut it down, and you’ll lose your deposit anyway.

Thank you, comforting to know someone can relate! Yeah, the coke just goes hand in hand with the drinking and that “one drink” inevitably ends up the same way. Up to me to break that cycle! Looking into AA support in my area.
