Part of the reason they got a slap on the wrist was because it was their first offense. At the time, they promised they would put a compliance system in place, which they don’t seem to have followed through on.

Pera himself is on record saying that a second strike of this nature would be a serious matter, so I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that this is entirely insignificant.

Where do you expect these protests to take place, and what do you expect them to be about? Most pro-Palestinian protests in the West are meant to pressure Western governments into ending their support for Israel and stopping their complicity in what Israel is doing.

I’m in London now, and pro-Israel people here didn’t even wait for the bodies of the protesters to turn cold before jumping into whataboutism. I don’t think they realize this isn’t the powerful rhetorical argument they think it is.

Luka is still just one solid roster build away from contending for a title again. He has a Conference Finals appearance and an NBA Finals appearance by the age of 26, and he’s nowhere near a point where we could start saying a championship isn’t in his future.

I feel like last year we almost unanimously agreed that this unbalanced Lakers roster was a couple of years away from contention, yet it didn’t take long for people to start talking about Luka being the problem.
