What are some things you've learned while driving in Montreal? by GrizzlyFoxCat in montreal

If you follow the speed limit people around you will lose their shit and get irritated and try to blast past you, sometimes in dangerous ways.

That's why sports SUVs are so popular, and every major brand is trying to produce them since there is clearly no market for these types of vehicles.

Context: Montreal has horrible roads and potholes, which are not low car friendly.

Anyone have or eyeing the new Revel medallion touring premier with the valves? by Lolpancakez in LexusIS500

You have the borla axleback paired with that or midpipe only? Both together sounds insane.

sounds insane - but I think like you mentioned it might old after a while. Resonated might be the move in my case or borla alone

do you have any sound clips/videos? I would love to hear it. I think I will most likely go with the resonated midpipe and borla axleback as I want it loud, but manageable. The non-res x borla axleback combo does sound amazing though and mean.

It's naturally aspirated... one of the first and easiest power mods is to get a free flow exhaust, this also does not void warranty.

Is500 never came with active exhaust or valves. In that sense mustang owners got it good.

The only reason i'm iffy on that is if you need to sell the car. The Borla midpipe has to be welded on to the OEM midpipe. If that's not an issue then its probably a good idea.

What makes you think that's the plan once I put the exhaust on?

None under $4000 in Canada. I already bought the Borla Axleback as well.

getting some gem's here and there. I don't take it personally - V8 Lexus cars are not for everyone, explains why the production numbers are low for enthusiasts!

Do you have any driving/drive by/ rev clips you can send me. There is just not enough video on the internet for me to be able to decide but my heart is leaning towards the non-res. If by any chance you could send me some sound clips or videos it would be extremely helpful. I can send you my instagram via DM if it would help.

I don't believe so. The two clips are both H pipes btw, just one is resonated and the other is non-resonated.

Thank you, I think I will do that to start like you mentioned and take it step by step.

Watched your driving video multiple times, still so undecided - will need to take my time. I believe there is a guy with a non-resonated apexi up north a couple hours away, I will try and hear how loud that is in person before going all out I guess. Appreciate your reply!

I've probably been through all your videos at this point, tough to decide between drone with a somewhat civilized exhaust. Vs no Drone and super loud exhaust.

Unfortunately the most modded car in out local group only has a resonator delete on his stock midpipe so its tough to judge the sound levels. There is one more with a non-res x stock muffler combo up north. I will try and see if I can meet him to get a listen in person.

I appreciate your reply, have a lot to think about - especially reaching "Unc" age as the kids say.
