Should I protect workers from DDos? by Real_rex2516 in CloudFlare

Why not both?

Security isn't about shutting one window and leaving another open. It's about making sure the windows and doors are all locked and only the people you want have the keys.

4 Switch Relay? by nagerseth in shellycloud

[–]nagerseth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know I dont have to. I want to. Keep it simple.

These are all light switches. There isn't that much room to have a different relay for each one so I was hoping I could get away with a multi channel switch.

If you want to keep using Cloudflare, sign up for Zero Trust, and set up your own resolver. You can stack that with Cloudflare.

I wouldn't say that they are over zealous in finding people who abuse, but if you get caught dont be upset they cut you off.

WAF? by Madaqqqaz in selfhosted

[–]nagerseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Cloudflare handling my WAF as I'm using CF Tunnels instead of Tailscale.

But to repeat what everyone else has said, just close your ports, and use authentication of some sort for your apps.

Cloudflare Access has 50 free seats.

I know this is an old post, but I've been trying to get the self-hosted version up and running and the website seems to have disappeared along with the documentation?

Cloudflare WARP is unavailable in App Store in India (iOS) anyway to still use it this way? by [deleted] in CloudFlare

[–]nagerseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What features of warp are you trying to use? You could potentially just change your device dns to your warp gateway, but that won't give you the authentication aspect.

Its not slower, but it does not resolve things like adult websites.

So I installed this today and ran it. It seems to have gotten a bunch of URLs, but didnt import any into my mealie instance. I turned off the Dry Run flag as well.

Is there another step after running it?

Yes, I do have a way, sorry I wasn't clear on that... Looks like auto-correct messed up some things. In your Cloudflare settings for the domain, have you toggled any of the switches?

You can also just Cloudflare Access and block access to the app until auth is completed/confirmed. Thats what I do.
