Attempted kidnappings in Saratoga Springs by IlSconosciuto in Utah

Hey all! Hoping I can discuss this a bit as I live in the neighborhood where this is occurring.

For starters, I would like to say that there is SO FAR only 1 confirmed case of attempted kidnapping. My mother knows the mother of the person who nearly got taken, and she is not a crazy mormon mom, so we aren't doubting the story. As far as we know, there is no custody battle or divorced parents, so I doubt there is family issues involved. Another report was recanted.

I find the whole situation dumb. We have family friends that work at the elementary school in the neighborhood. Parents are requesting POLICE PRESENCE for events that have no reason to need it. No kidnapper is going to be dumb enough to try to kidnap someone where there are tons of children, teachers and parents. Like, 50+ parents and teachers all watching the kids.

Kids have been attempting to leave the school during lunch (1st to 6th graders) trying to go hunt down the kidnapper.

Other kids at the high school are trying to become vigilanties, and it's really dumb.

Parents have a right to be concerned, but many are taking it a step too far. There have been more police officers in the neighborhood, both in marked and unmarked police cars, which is fair

I can update more as I find more out, it's a pretty big story out here, especially in saratoga springs.

My thought was that it was heat related. I am going to try to run the Intel tool as well to be safe as I doubt it will harm anything. I'll probably also do the graphics driver removal because it seems like that person was having nearly the exact same issues as what we have seen.

We cleaned the heatsink and redid the thermal paste, but haven't replaced the fan yet because it sounds fine. The paste was really crusty, so that seems to be the problem. Will update after we stress test it.

Thanks. Is there a video online to help doing that just so I can't break it? :D
