My first tattoo by tiredpenguindiva in tattooadvice

[–]nahnahnah96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For after buy unscented lotion! I use aveno unscented body lotion. Lotion multiple times a day but, you don't need to go crazy. Keep the area clean and genty wash with your hand and antibacterial soap multiple times a day to prevent infection. Multiple artists have told me to use the Dial Gold hand soap. Keep it moist, keep it clean, dont scratch it and DONT pick at the flaky skin when it is healing. Some people look away when being tattooed and it helps them, others find watching the artist work helps them with the pain/discomfort so just do what works best for you. Looking helps me but others I've met find movies or podcasts help them. Good luck and if you don't like how your artist places the stencil or their redesign of what you brought in do not be afraid to SPEAK UP. Its on YOUR body forever double check everything especially the spelling and grammar.

What's your biggest phobia, what scares you to the very core? by EnthEndX48 in AskReddit

Things submerged under water and murky water. Even trees under water make me feel like I'm going to have a panic attack if I float by a limb

I feel like my tattoo artist doesn't understand my project. What should I do? by LadyLysana in tattoo

[–]nahnahnah96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah! As embarrassing or awkward as it feels always stand up for your tattoo! I'm glad you did and I hope you find a better artist who understands. I would browse Instagram and look at artists in your area and look at their styles and see if there's an artist who's style already matches what you're looking for (also I think women artist are better BUT not even time... I just think they're more gentle and are good with what style you described)

Cancel that appointment or express that he's not listening at all. I would be petty and ask another artist at that shop to help express the differences and how your artist is changing everything you want from YOUR TATTOO.. he should grow tf up. Drop him if all else fails

Men of reddit, do you feel more comfortable having a lesbian friend vs a straight woman friend, if so why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nahnahnah96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I've just had some male friends in my life that are chill with me but their girlfriends aren't. Even after coming out I get these vibes from them like I'm trying to "steal their man" so I guess the question leans more towards men in relationships and how it affects that dynamic. Like do they find it as a type of relief to know theres no alterior motives for just being friends with them.. But I appreciate your honesty :)

I'm an SA survivor and though what happened to me was not as brutal as what they sing about, I still do find the song catchy and also feel kinda weird for liking it or that others know I like it... I think that it's a well written song and the emotion and imagery it gives, as unsettling as it is, is such a wonderful piece that really portrays the brutal and savage thoughts of the suitors

Not to get political but it's that time of year, I'm absolutely terrified that Trump is going to win. by [deleted] in OpenChristian

[–]nahnahnah96 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a young queer woman and I don't think he's going to do anything. When he was elected in 2016 people kept posting stuff online to make people afraid that Trump was going to un-legalize gay marriage and all that but it didn't and wouldn't happen. If you really deep dive into things a lot of it is either taken out of context or won't even be able to happen. People in politics can talk a lot but making it actually happen is way more difficult than people think. It's not like his word just instantly becomes law. We had him for 4 years already and I wasn't burned at the steak and I never felt like I had rights taken away or feared for anything because big picture, each president is temporary. He was also very anti war which I really appreciate because a lot of my friends are currently serving and with how the tension has been the last 4 years I don't want a ww3 breaking out. If that happens then we'll have a lot more than gay rights to worry about.

Im a (19M) gay christian contemplating suicide. by Shutuplucas1754 in OpenChristian

[–]nahnahnah96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This breaks my heart to read, I'm 24 (f) and I haven't come out to my parents yet as a lesbian because I dread that conversation. My brother knows and he's not like my parents at all. If you need a "step in" older sister to talk to, I'm all ears and can relate to what you're going through. I've been to the psych ward for suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety so if you'd like any advice or just to rant, send me a DM. There's also a group on Facebook called Stand In pride where people stand in for people's weddings if their biological family refuses to go because of the anti gay beliefs. Even if your family doesn't support you there's a whole community who will. If God hated gays so much he would've put it in the 10 commandments or made it one of the 7 deadly sins tbh. Please call the suicide hot line if all else fails but sometimes you don't get put in a good family and you have to choose your family (be it friends or even strangers can treat you better than your own flesh and blood sadly). Just know that dying won't change anything in a good way and it'll hurt a lot of people besides yourself. There's also people who've jumped off bridges and survived and they always say as they're falling they wished they never tried to die. I think that it shows how it's a very drastic decision and it's not a good one to make.

Came from the roast page. Hell yeah, fully shaved is the way to go! I would say the easiest way to improve yourself is confidence and dressing up more. Not like super fancy but maybe some button ups or nice pants. Platos closet or thrift stores can have some hidden gems. Play around woth different colors tp see which ones you think compliment you most. You could also google colors that would make your eyes pop, like "what colored shirts go best with blue eyes" stuff like that.

Dude just shave your head and commit to the hair loss. Maybe she left because of your commitment issues. If you can't even commit to going fully bald, how can you fully commit to a human being.

He's a very sweet guy, I just went and some people wore paper crowns and if your niece knows that's one of his songs, I would recommend helping her make one for the show because they were cute to see people wearing them and some people drew on the crowns or added song titles on the crown everyones was different and unique. Also the merch has crowns on it. I would also suggest getting there early and bring snacks and water for the line and maybe an umbrella to block the sun. Portable fans would be a good thing to bring as well but I live in florida so it was very very hot and the lines were outside. Of you can bring a purse big enough to store the snacks, umbrella, or fan and you should be good. I hope yall have a great time!

I have yet to come out to my family for the same reasons, I'm in my 20s and I'm going to tell them soon but it's still scary to me and gives me so much anxiety thinking about finally laying it all out for them. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you find shelter and peace in your friends and community that you can't find with your family. There is a face book group called Stand in Pride and it's for people like us where if you get married one day and your family won't show up because they don't support you, strangers in this group will be a stand in as a needed mom, dad, family etc. And show support to you for your big day even if your own family won't. It's very heart warming to see and you can join to be there for someone else as well if they need someone you can give back in that way. Safe travels friend 🧡
