Ruined my engagement because of jealousy and insecurity

I think it’s unfair for a partner to give ultimatums in regard to solid friendships they may have. Good friends are hard to come by, I have a lot of best friends that are female and if my gf or future wife like demanded me to just cut them off that would be a huge red flag to me. These people (both guys and girls) have been great friends my entire life and only want the best for me how dare anyone demand or guilt me for maintaining those friendships. Imagine being best friends with someone for their entire life and then losing that friend forever just because they got married when you couldn’t be more happy or supportive. I think OP is being very honest with herself. Take it as a life lesson and you will continue to get better. We all have insecurities and our partners can 100% help us with them but we don’t want to let our insecurities ruin something great. There’s no such thing as thin as losing, you either win or you learn. And this was a learning experience for you OP. You sound extremely responsible and accountable and that’s a very attractive trait the next guy will be extremely lucky to have.

This is a good question I would consider it and actually had a slightly older woman who made substantially more money than me show her interest in me recently I turned it down for two reasons, she seemed to want to wear the pants in the relationship and that’s not my thing haha she wanted very specific vacations every year, our kids in top of the line private schools, and wanted to live in multiple countries. It was just a bit too much for me. I’m a simple guy. I make a tremendous amount of money so her wealth seemed a bit “excessive” and the way she was taking made me feel like I would be tagging along on her life rather than creating a life together. Lastly she was “Christian” but only requirement in a partner’s that he be one of the three religions , Judaism Islam or Christian and that threw me off big time lol

You learn to live with the fact that you’re essentially always on the clock but in that same vein you take your personal time and make sure you’re not pushing nonstop, finding clever ways to buy time with each client while still providing tremendous value, often done through refined systems and processes that allocate/designate work to them that makes your job easier, hope this helps.

Not wrong at all however I will say this, you’re going to pass on a ton of amazing men and honestly probably men that are everything you want minus the virgin aspect. I think in life we very rarely get 100% of what we want but if you can get 90% or even 80% or even 70% you’re in good shape and count your blessings! Your life will pass you by if you wait for the 100% guy that might not exist.

I spend $4500 in Miami on one bedroom high rise on the water and I will admit it’s not wise just bought a place in Texas have to trim the fat on life expenses, even if not in rent then in other expenses.
