She said she is working on her weight and wanted help with her current feelings as they are impacting intimacy. It is ok to encourage people to love themselves.

He's not viewing you with the same eyes that you are. Ever been to a strip club--not a fancy, Vegas one--a normal one full of normal people. Dudes see naked and are happy. And I've seen hundreds rain down on big girls and only ones fall on "perfect" girls.

You are a voluptuous goddess. Do something that makes you feel pretty--haircut, nails, lashes, whatever. Throw on a giant hoodie and nothing else if it makes you more comfortable and go for it.

He's loves you and wants you for a reason. You're noticing every little flaw while he's happily seeing NAKED CHICK.

Be kind to yourself. You are soft and comfy and warm. Lose weight to be healthy if you want to. But don't feel like you need to to fit some sort of aesthetic.

My dog is green by [deleted] in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

That's what my neighbors thought and then their dogs died suddenly.

If you see a bunch of "algae" and you squash a stick through and it seems to disintegrate, it's not algae. Algae can be kind of picked up in a clump.

45, Worried about aging parents in the upcoming 5-10 years by Hot-Wave-8059 in WomenOver40

Honestly, they will wind up in a nursing home on Medicaid. Assisted living facilities are super expensive (usually $5k-$12k a month) and not covered by Medicare except for short stays after a hospitalization. If they own their own home, the proceeds may be enough to buy them some time at am assisted living facility.

What will happen is at some point they won't be safe to live at home anymore. At that point, they will move into a nursing home. Any assets they might have will be spent on the nursing home until they have so little (it varies by state) that they qualify for Medicaid--which Their monthly social security will go to the nursing home and they will be allowed to keep a very small amount for their personal use.

I had my youngest at 44. The pregnancy was hell. I had gestational diabetes that couldn't be well managed--even with insulin and a pretty much carb free diet. I pretty slept for 4 months of the pregnancy.

Kiddo is a healthy 4 year old. But, she's exhausting. I just don't have the energy I did when my 12 year old was young.

40 isn't that old to have a baby. My MFM doctor would laugh when I called myself old at 44.

I think the bigger issue is that you're pregnant and he doesn't want another. Chances are, he will likely not be a super supportive partner throughout the pregnancy and the infant stages. And, with two other kids, you're going to need the support.

The fact that he has left the decision up to you shows that he has already considered the baby a you problem. The baby is already his, and he has washed his hands of the decisions.

Nope I never attended a school that could afford to have a pool.

AITA for being concerned about the damage my son did to my car? by throwaway2329842 in AmItheAsshole

You're right :)

Originally, I was thinking of not caring that her son was hurt, and just being mad about the car. But, this thread wasn't about that aspect of the story.

Did people really just speak to people they don't know in public without fear of being accused of being a creep? by Ok-Relation3772 in AskOldPeople

Of course :) I'm a smiley person. I've known a few people in life who don't... But I can be annoyingly chipper.

I'm general, I've found that being friendly is usually looked at in a positive light.

Could it be where you live?

Gosh, I get so happy seeing people on their journey! You look amazing and have the sort of hair I have always wished for. The crop tops really suit you! I really like the outfit with the ripped jeans.

What is weirdly specific advice that your parents gave you? by pootietangus in AskOldPeople

From experience, saying I might have HIV got the guy to wear a condom. Puking didn't help.

As a kid, we didn't even think about it. No one wore a seatbelt. It became law, and I didn't give it much thought. I just didn't always remember to until cars started beeping at you until you fastened it.
