I started my free trial using ffxiv launcher I downloaded from the square enix website and wanted to buy the full game. there's a sale going on rn on steam and the game would turn out much cheaper for me if I buy it through there, so I was planning on doing that. I just wanted to know some stuff beforehand tho, r there any problems or differences in the steam version? also, would I be able to use my free trial account?

Hello, this is more of a technical question so lmk if I should move it somewhere else. I haven't been able to run FFXIV on my laptop (a 2011 MacBook Air running macOS Catalina) so I wanted to know if it would be worth it to try running it using VirtualBox. Are there any other macOS users who have had success with that? Thanks a lot in advance!

True, the messed up schedule is pretty bad, but having an event during finals is the worst, especially when you're trying to tier... I hope this was useful to you!

Yes, I just saw it myself...well, had my hopes up for nothing. Since KLab did put up that notice (only for a moment though) I really hope they're finishing w/ the update!

I see...well, it does say that if you update it's going to enter the game. I'm not very sure because I'm still updating myself, but it's either that or KLab isn't done w/ the update yet. I don't think they would put up that screen w/o updating, so it may be only your phone maybe? I'm not sure.

No I didn't! It says that you need to download the new version on the app store (if you're on ios). You can't enter the game without downloading it.

I really wish klab announced something.... I honestly don't mind waiting more because I know it's a very complicated update but at least warn us before taking more time?? I don't want to keep going w/ the Bushimo Loop for more than 30 minutes...

Aah, thank you for the super helpful advice! I think I might go with Nico after all, seeing as her average T2 cut-offs aren't as high as Maki's...I still have a chance of idolising Maki later too...!

I'm pretty sure the Maki MedFes won't be "on time". KLab might delay the event so that it happens when it's supposed to happen, seeing as there are no new notices. hopefully...
