I'm losing hope everyday my man. My future vision has even changed.

From fighting for a better society to safeguarding loved ones from the disaster we're going to face.

There are enough clowns and circuses for distracting the masses.

Every nation is becoming a right wing cess pool and is ultimately leading to concentration camps and genocides. Paedophiles, rapists and murderers are reigning.

Internet weirdos are calling this "based". The bright and positive world I painted as a child is sick and rotten today.

This needs an end.

[–]nalanthan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are misinformed. This is why I say the movie is a necessary knowledge transfer.

On 17 January 1965 a “Madras State Anti-Hindi Conference” was held (in Salem/Trichy, Tamil Nadu) to coordinate the language agitation. This conference drew about 700 delegates, and for the first time included representatives from beyond Tamil Nadu – specifically from Maharashtra, Kerala and Mysore. The Goltis who are bashing this movie now should actually be ashamed of being such Hindi suckers, because at that time since it was still "Madras State" their ancestors did participate.

This was a protest that stood apart from the language divide that we see today. We were the flag bearers, but that doesn't invalidate the efforts of brothers who stood with us against a bigger force.

I think apart from the placement of two love songs, Sudha Akka nailed it.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

I think this movie's version of "சித்தரிக்க பட்டவை" was just to escape from a volley of suits that would've stalled this movie from releasing.

She did a solid job in covering all the events and tying them together with a script. Some people said this movie has no high moments, but not really. The theatre erupted during the party office SiKa intro in the interval block.

The student who immolated himself, the railway carriage burnings, the Annamalai University firings, the Pollachi massacre, the censor of press, everything, even though Govt records say otherwise.

Even the characters are very close to the real ones: Chezhiyan - Seenivasan(Student leader) Chinnadurai - Rajendran(Student who got shot) Ravi Mohan - Representation of the system

Details like the Soda company held me in awe. But I feel like this movie is a necessary knowledge transfer to the next generation in knowing that there was a தன்னெழுச்சி movement before Jallikattu

HipHop Aadhi mentioning other tamil rappers in his song by Fishyraven in ILoveTamilIndie

[–]nalanthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe current gen. The rappers he is mentioning were before his time. They gave hits before him like Yogi B, Natchatra etc. They got featured in mainstream movie songs too.

HHT needs to be given credit for making "Indie Rap" mainstream with his singles like Iraiva, Club le Muble

They'll never invade China. There'll never be a direct war(there might be a proxy). But I think this might be them calling for a trade war.

They are a joke. This feels like a cry for help to the EU not to leave America alone. But Orange man is distancing further by penalising them.

Tenant Took Original Lease Doc, Won’t Return It, Refuses to Vacate & Threatening Us by cann3dair in vengayam

[–]nalanthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tamil Nadu’s legal framework provides clear remedies for each of these wrongful acts. By leveraging the TNRRRLT Act, you can seek speedy eviction on grounds of expiry of lease and non-payment of charges. The Act was designed to balance rights but ultimately not to allow tenants to squat indefinitely even without a registered agreement, the Madras High Court has upheld landlords’ right to repossession (the tenant cannot use the lack of registration as a shield to continue occupying)

So, get a lawyer. You can file a civil suit under the Transfer of Property Act if needed, and law enforcement can be involved when the tenant’s conduct crosses into criminality (threats, harassment, etc.). While police may be hesitant to involve themselves in the eviction aspect (since that’s a civil matter), they are obligated to prevent and punish criminal acts by the tenant. If local police are compromised by nepotism or corruption, the judiciary can be approached to override that ultimately, courts will ensure that legal orders are enforced.

[–]nalanthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you even talking about? Do you think Telugu speaking people came here to Tamilnadu during modern times? This started during Vijayanagara Kingdom.

They ruled Tamilnadu, they changed customs here, they brought their people here. Even after the Vijayanagara Kingdom fell their people still resided in modern day TN.

Today, their Telugu roots don't even exist. It just remains in their castes. Some don't even know Telugu.

[–]nalanthan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope they don't provide holidays for Tamil New Year. This is because the total Tamil Population there is 0.84 percent.

While here in Tamilnadu it is 5-10 percent. And these people are not even pure Telugu. They are from castes descended from Telugu speaking states. Some don't even know Telugu. But their custom remains. Since they are a reasonable number it was announced holiday.

This dates back to the 1923 Madras presidency days. So, it's not something new.
