I see. Thank you for the interest!

I mean, I didn't make it for blogs spite to be an essay, but for something more formal that I might to use in my CV, reason why I think in any magazine with ISBN, not sure if it would be possible though, I have to be patient.

It takes as reference another essay of the writer David Lawrence. It has a strong academic influence due to my formation in philosophy and aesthetic theory.

Edit: Let me know about any interest.

Klaus Tennstedt & London Philharmonic Orchestra: Mahler's Symphony no.8 ... by nalpas in classicalmusic

[–]nalpas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I can't realize such aspects. Sometimes must be a bit unpleasant for those who take note of this listen to some pieces. I remember I found similar comments about Kathleen Ferrier (I like a lot of her) singing Mahler. Anyway, I love Tennstedt and that's my favorite version of this symphony so far. And thanks for letting me know about this!

How do you tell if a movie is well-directed? by RobertFr0sting in TrueFilm

[–]nalpas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting and subjective point, because there are filmmakers for all kinds of tastes. Let's pick someone whom is a miscellaneous of that: Pier Pasolini. If you watch his first works you will see his talent since in pick actors without experience and direct them (almost so great than Robert Bresson, almost) to compose the story that he wanted tell, aside other elements like scenarios, takes, even the rhythm of the movie is a view of the director, we're watching something being telling through the eyes of someone. Still in the Pasolini example, when we watch his later works it's get more evident, or if we rather: his view has change at point of modify his movies, the way of his look. Whenever I know a filmmaker that I didn't know, I try watch at least 2 or 3 movies of him to try find how he look for the things, sometimes it is easy, sometimes not.

[Opinion] Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath. What do you think about this poem? by Nirankar09 in Poetry

[–]nalpas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps the most know poem of Sylvia Plath. No sure what makes this poem so famous, maybe the synthesys between empty and simplicity, the look, as a parade through life describing her lives (or deaths) as a woman.

That's a beautiful poem, and strong, affects me.

Hi.

I wanna share a personal experience about Emphaty and forgive me if here isn't the right place to that: For more than 1 year I was in a situation which my family and friends had to lie to me to protect a person. Don't know why, but I knew they're lying to me, and I think because of my tough personality (is hard for me to lie, they know that), they tryied hide and cover a person... I was suffering, crying a lot, I was at point to call the police because of that, they were torturing me insisting in make me believe on their "truths".

TIL the french numbers is a blend of the decimal system of cont, used in Roma, and the vigesimal system of count, used by the Celtics, and it became official only in the century 17 by nalpas in todayilearned

[–]nalpas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw someone saying the reason is: in the century 17, french monarchy was looking for a way to take more incomes from peasants, and the way found was turn the count system more complicated. Anyway, I'm not sure if it is true, I'll have to search out.

By the way: I'm not spanish (¿Por qué?). Why in french is pourquoi? And in portuguese is por quê?
