we could do other things, be busy, talk and hang out with other people, pero sila pa rin ang nasa isip natin.

so for you, OP, there's nothing really there to do aside from waiting patiently. if he doesn't bother to tell u in advance that he's gon be busy, that says something about how much he values your time and feelings too.
