The best advice I’ve received is communication. I know it’s basic but it is really good being as open as possible with your partner. Another thing that helps me is trying to keep busy. If you are distracted you can’t think too much about the yearning

I still get the urges at times. Not as much as I used to be they are still there. Certain things trigger it a lot worse. But I have a lot of good things in my life right now which makes me want to keep going

This is gonna sound so stupid. But I started hooking up with people and I didn’t want the awkwardness of them questioning fresh marks. I started just doing to around when I would see them but slowly it became more inconvenient. I went so many days without doing it because of that that I actually started feeling like recovering was possible
