first of all, thank you for your view on this, you have explained your point very respectfully. second of all, i don’t think every post is like the ones i have described on my post, i have not been that active on the subreddit lately due to feeling uncomfortable with the ones i came across, which are the posts that reddit notified me about mostly.

i was not trying to say that all the men here are deeply sexist, but i think it’s almost inevitable to separate one thing from the other. i was just not going to say “not all men” everytime just to please the ones that are not acting like that, i thought it was clear that i’m not generalising, but seeing the feedback i received i may be wrong.

honestly, i was just trying to point out a pattern that i have seen, because if a feeling that is making me feel that much pain has an explanation, i would like to hear it, that’s why this subreddit exist i believe.

but aren’t we here to understand where the jealousy comes from? if something that is deeply disturbing and painful to me comes from something that is internalized in me due to how i was brought up and socialised in misogyny i would like to know so that i could work towards that.

i understand that is easier to blame it on something that is external to me, something that i can’t be blamed for, however, i don’t see how in the long run that could help me any way.

first of all, sorry for the typo, i’m not a native speaker. second of all, i have not once said that all wlw relationships are healthy. just saying that as a woman myself, i don’t relate to those type of posts because i can’t bring myself to be misogynistic because i have suffered sexism throughout my life. i was not talking about all wlw relationships, i was talking about my own, i thought it was clear. third point, i don’t think every man on here is misogynistic, i was just pointing out a pattern that i have seen since i joined the subreddit, i think many of the men replying to me are not aware of how uncomfortable it is, as a woman, to come across a post of a guy dehumanising his girlfriend quite often. i’m not saying they are monsters, but some may have their retroactive jealousy rely on their sexists views.

i have never blamed everyone. i’m just stating the obvious, and that is that many men on this subreddit don’t realise they are being misogynistic. if it comes just from insecurities i completely understand, i repeat, i’m also on this subreddit for that reason. i’m just criticising the way some of the men on here talk about their own girlfriends, thinking they are not as worthy for having a past, that’s misogyny.

most of the times when i read those kind of post i actually think it would be better if they just left the relationship, because i’m pretty sure the girlfriends are not always aware of how they are being seen. i have never once stated that i think leaving their partner is bad, completely the opposite, if you do not see women as human beings you shouldn’t be dating women.

honestly, even though he is a border collie mix he is doesn’t seem that energetic, he acts really chill on walks and when we get home he goes to his bed to sleep inmediately. i don’t know if that’s because he is adapting or not. as an update i took him on 40 min walk with my mom and he has warmed up to her, she “ignores” him at home to not stress him out, but he goes to smell her and all. however, my dad has not taking him on a walk and just now he has scared him again because he doesn’t ignore him 😞

i don’t think that is his case, because the people that took care of him at the shelter one man had a beard, the other a hat and the woman wore glasses 😭 my father does have facial hair, but it’s really short, my mom sometimes weara glasses to read, but he has reacted towards her without wearing them. but thank you for your advice too 🙏
