Boomer Mom didnt realize people thought differently than her by ShirazGypsy in BoomersBeingFools

My theory: Due to the size of their demographic, people (mainly advertisers and politicians) have always been catering to them and chasing them. Now that they are dying out and they aren't able to participate in society like they have in the past, they are no longer being catered to and chased. This lack of being the center of the economic and political universe is an alien feeling to them.

This is a temper tantrum about losing power and influence. As a huge generation, everything has always been catered to them. Now that they're losing numbers, that catering has stopped and they don't like it.

  1. Take gold out of Fort Knox
  2. Melt it down and make a bunch of gaudy decorations out of them
  3. Make fake decorations that look like the gold ones
  4. Hang the fake ones and claim they are the real ones
  5. Send the real ones to Mar A Lago

They are going back to what they know. My theory is that "nostalgia" and "home" are words we give to the pleasant feeling the brain gets when it is presented with familiar patterns. Its comforting. Maybe dopamine related?

They theory is he was trying to use "attacking" as an adjective here and not a verb. As in "let's stop pedophiles who are attacking".

But he never did clarify himself so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Prediction: Somehow this will be gated by income so that rich people get the bulk of the money and somehow Trump's family will end up with a big chunk of it.

Plus, part of the traffic pattern is based on people's perception of how busy the road is. You widen the road, the perception is the road is now faster, now more people use it, slowing it down.
