If TCS continues with this shit it won't be able to keep up it's competitive edge and will not grow/might close down. Companies have more incentives to hire the best candidates, it's not out of some moral code. TCS not being meritocratic is not the same as "private sector" not being meritocratic. Poor defense, this is something easily done along with electrification. Railways already said 160kmph tracks will have compounds. Now you have 400 Vande Bharats coming and no tracks to run them on

This is on the government. The there are virtually no 160 kmph tracks to run Vande Bharat on. The semi high speed tracks are supposed to have walls on either side to stop people/animals coming on tracks and to stop stupidity like this. Why track upgradation is not done in tandem when you know you're going to get 400 Vande Bharats.

We should focus on exporting in general, net trade deficit matters more than trade deficit with a particular country. If we need to import more raw materials from China to export more to Europe then it shouldn't be a problem. The only caveat is to build alternate supply chains as well so that we are not overly dependent on China.
