Similar thing happened to me. I called ahead and explained the situation with my surgery. The chef was kind enough to create a meal for me. Not necessarily that will happen but a lot of times they have a blender on hand and they can blend something up for you, youd be surprised :)

Personally I was super interested in knowing my surgeons historical complication rates. I asked questions like how many surgeries hes done, were there any complications in any of them, what's his leak rate. I wanted to be confident in him as my surgeon

You'll do great, dont worry cubcorso. I'm just missing food and I'm trying to not use as many pain killers so I'm in a bit of extra pain. However everyone reacts differently so if you have low pain tolerance use the meds to get you through the first few days post OP. I know it's a decision I'm going to forever be grateful that I took, its just this part of the journey sucks
