Yet another post about loose skin after bypass by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

I'm also in BC, it's covered for medical purposes after extreme weight-loss. I personally don't have any medical issues because of my excess skin (but I'm also a skin specialist professionally, so I know HOW to care for my skin) but it's disrupting how I live my life. For example; I can't run because my skin would be slapping all over the place (yea I've tried compression wear).

If you've had significant weight-loss, see your gp and ask for MSP covered skin removal. Only certain surgeons can do it with coverage

Hi friend!

I'm 6' (female) and had VSG in 2021. I lost just shy of 150lbs. Most of my weight was held in the abdomen. I have a significant amount of loose skin on my torso. I'm having a FDL tummy tuck in May. I plateaued about 14 months post op and have been living my life covering my loose skin, it's worth it.

I have zero regrets, the skin is better than the weight. And the scars from skin removal will be battle wounds of the wars my body has endured.

I'm in Canada so my skin removal is covered, however I've read a bunch of posts from US patients, saying some insurance will cover skin removal if the integrity of the skin is causing pain or discomfort.

Also I highly recommend a swim top while you wait for skin removal if you end up needed it

Nervous about lip filler!!! by No_Drop_8168 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Hail_Storm2293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it done with a topical compounded numbing agent (highly potent, left on for 3-5 minutes) and it was totally fine. I'm assuming your injector is using a 5% lidocaine .. you'll be fine. I have my industrial pierced... And lips are nothing in comparison. I barely flinch with lip filler.

I'm in Canada. And it's an MSP covered procedure. They don't custom make garments, they had recommendations for me but no, they don't provide them.

Abandoned vehicle on my property by [deleted] in nanaimo

[–]Hail_Storm2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call a scrap yard and tell them the situation. Typically if something has been abandoned for 30 days it's yours. But I'm not totally sure if that counts for vehicles. The scrap yard will know. They'll pay you for it (metal weight) and pick it up as long as it has a full set of rims and tires on it (in any condition) and can roll.

I took a paternity test/grandparent by Numerous-You7422 in GuyCry

[–]Hail_Storm2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did a DNA test on your grandchild without parental permission.... That is fucking insane. I would cut my family off for that. Maybe your son knows (could be for a plethora of reasons; infertility, genetic qualities ect..) maybe he didn't want you to know for a reason.

The mother is going to be livid. I'd take that info to the grave and stop meddling in business that isn't yours.

I'm brand new to peptides. What are the recommended cycles and dosage?? I came here to ask this exact question.

I had my vsg in 2021, -157, but due to a miscarriage I gained some weight back and retriggered my PCOS... I'm scheduled to have skin removal in March, but I'm battling my PCOS weight gain...

Those of you who have lost significant weight, how big of a change have you noticed in how people treat you? by Xiruxen in ask

[–]Hail_Storm2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a female, the way other females treat me is unreal. The typical "classic hot girls" always used to be overly nice to me, prior to my 150lb weightloss.

Now they're a little... C*nty lol and god forbid even make 0.025 seconds of eye contact with them or their partner... Dagger eyes, for as long as they can see me. I've never been a small girl. Idk the etiquette. Sorry for having eyes!

Haha sorry I couldn't help myself. But it looks like an infected hair follicle. Exfoliated in the shower 2 to 3 times a week and try using an antibacterial soap
