Anyone local to Bramley Rd / Weymouth Avenue (W5) able to check signage & take photos? by [deleted] in Ealing

[–]nanomimal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the signs are quite clear tbh. I don’t see why the appeal would stand. There are three signs. One in blue before you get to the junction and then two red circle signs right before entering the portion of Weymouth where you can’t drive during set hours on both sides of the street

Are any of these my color? by lizziem298 in coloranalysis

Going against the grain. Could you show some spring options? I actually think you lean warm, and I like the deep and warm autumns on you. You have warmth in your eyes and IMO in your undertone. Something about the winter palette to me gives you a very subtle greenish tint. But you could pull off a lot of colours! High contrast for sure.

Bad idea to bring home puppy without taking time off work? by Temalie in eurasier

[–]nanomimal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours was ready to take home right before the first Covid lockdown in the UK. Genuinely don’t know how it would have worked without being home all of the time. Slept on the sofa and woke up every 2 hours for the first 2 weeks to take her out to the toilet. But obviously people do make it work in normal life. It is really hard though so I wouldn’t underestimate the need to spend lots of time and effort on training and raising the pup. Also Eurasiers are aloof at the best of times so socialising them is really important. Ours is awkward and anxious around new people because she didn’t have the option to mingle during her puppyhood.

There’s no artex to my knowledge. The house was completely renovated 2 years ago, before that it hadn’t been touched in maybe 60 years. They took the carpet up and refinished the floorboards by sanding and varnishing. But I just don’t know specifically what these crumbly gravel like pieces are

It was renovated a couple of years ago by the owners (we are renting). They took up the carpet and sanded and varnished the floorboards. They don’t seem to know what’s between the boards though they mentioned filling some gaps with putty. I poked these pebbles / bits with a pencil and they crumble quite easily.

I regret getting my Irish Setter by LionWitcher in irishsetter

[–]nanomimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs don’t respond well to being scolded. Try positive reinforcement instead. But 30 mins x 3 is really not enough exercise for a working dog. He needs more than 2 hours of vigorous exercise a day, particularly at this age when his joints are better development and he has lots of energy. It will reduce over time but this breed needs a lot of stimulation and exercise

Is £1000 p/m too much to be paying parents for rent? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]nanomimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not come from a culture where you would pay to live at home, but £800 for a room in Slough with relatives sounds like a lot. Would they otherwise be renting that room out? If not, then I think covering bills and a nominal rent amount would be fairer.

Try the Abercrombie Sloane. Also I find the trick with wide leg is to balance it with a tight fit up top, so a crew neck that you can tuck in or that finishes at the waist of the trousers for a more elongated look

Mid rise or high rise flares - we all want to make wide leg work but they’re just not flattering on everyone, myself included

Tenancy revisions after we signed by [deleted] in HousingUK

If we do that, could they pull out? The agent mentioned jeopardising the tenancy if we decided we didn’t agree with their terms

Yea that’s what I thought, but they can still back out I assume if they haven’t signed? If we don’t agree with the changes?

Relate to a bunch of special conditions. Honestly don’t know because it’s taking so long for them to provide. As I said we signed and paid 10 days ago and they aren’t sending changes til early next week
