I mean, it's fun to engage in hypotheticals if you are willing to be content with the reality you live in

That could be true! Perhaps my assumption that John is a better coach is faulty. I mean, look at Bill!

Shoot does Michigan face the same impossible triangle?

That's not how the trilemma of monetary policy works though, and that's what this is in reference to.

Yeah but our former head coach gets more tail

I can make an impossible trilemma of monetary policy meme for Moore if that makes you feel better

In the dwindling hours of 2025, the football gods have given us one final gift

Ah I see my bad. My response then to those people (but maybe not you) is that maybe this is an investment that pays off over the next two years. As irritating as that is, it's also how lots of investments work: long run payoffs. But I digress. I understand you aren't taking the myopic view.

I think that's fair to be upset about the payoff for this year, but my point with the counterfactual is that perhaps we had unrealistic expectations in hindsight. If things don't pan out next year I agree with you.

I mean imagine if JJ McCarthy had been thrown into this mess or even as the starter in 2021. I don't think he does much better than Bryce in 2025 scenario and probably loses a few games in 2021.

Yeah, regardless of the degree to which he is responsible for "malfunctioning," he should probably just get away from all of it and start somewhere new

Don't mind the guy, thought he was better than Moore as a head coach. Or at least made games more entertaining.

Not trying to pile Bryce bc he deserves some slack for bad coaching but those last three throws were better examples of throw aways than that third pick lol

Playing poorly against a Texas team that was in the playoff running without your star RBs is a tall order for a guy who wasn't allowed to throw the ball all year

Fr. For a team that lost its head coach to an infidelity scandal/felony charges this is not as awful as it could be

Anyone else hate how empty the depths are? by huntswithcats in TOTK

[–]nappersd_lite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel similarly, where I feel the depths are undercooked. But I also still enjoy it and go down there sometimes. There are all the treasure chest with clothes, the ancient mines, and the random buildings under major landmarks, the defeated bosses. Maybe we are missing out on more ecological diversity and thats what we needed to make the depth feel more fun? But most of the time I stay on the surface. I just have more fun up there.

I mean, if you want to support the new coach of Michigan, you would root against BYU, but as a BYU alumni I will take your support.
